Chapter Five

Spencer packed up her things and drove to Toby's loft. She can't stay with Alison and Emily because they are engaged and have two kids. Aria and Ezra are married so she can't stay there. And Hanna and Caleb are married and Hanna is pregnant.

Spencer's POV

I don't have any other option. I think to myself as I get out of my car. But if he doesn't want me there I can just stay in my care for a while until I find a place to live. I wish my parents would be more supportive. I knock on the door.

Toby's POV

I hear a knock at the door and I wasn't expecting anyone but I look out the window and see Spencer's car. I go to open the door. I can see that she has been crying so I just nod my head and pick her up carrying her stuff. She didn't even have to ask.
Spencer: it's just until I find a place to live...
Toby: you know you can just move in here. I know you wanted to take things slow but we can still live together.
Spencer: okay, sounds great.
Toby just stares at her. A beautiful girl like her shouldn't be crying. Ever.
Spencer: aren't you going to ask what happened?
Toby: nope, because I know not to push you on things. And you will tell me when you are ready. So for now, let's just enjoy that we are here... together. *Toby Smiles*
Spencer: *smiles*
Toby: remember a very long time ago, I told you how pretending not to love you was the hardest thing I ever did?
Spencer: I do.
Toby: well I still mean it. So I'm gonna say it again. Pretending not to love you was the hardest thing I've ever done.

Spencer and Toby kiss which turns into a make out session. But that's all because Toby doesn't want to take advantage of Spencer.

Toby: I love you.
Spencer: then shout it to the world!
Toby: I love you Spencer Jill Hastings. *he whispers into her ear.*
Spencer: I told you to shout it to the world.
Toby: I did.
Spencer: you whispered it into my ear. That's not the world.
Toby: you are my world.
Spencer: *laughs* that's so cheesy! I love it!
Toby: *laughs*
Spencer: I love you Tobias Cavanaugh. *she whispers into his ear*
Toby: I want to talk to you about something.
Spencer: what is it?
Toby: remember the scrabble game we played at Aria and Ezra's engagement party?
Spencer: yes, yes I do.
Toby: Limerence... a kind of unrequited love.
Spencer: yes. And?
Toby: you were talking about me. How you thought I didn't love you back.
Spencer: maybe... *she blushes*
Toby: how in the world, did you think I didn't love you?
Spencer: I don't know.
Toby: I will tell you, we are not a limerence. We are not an unrequited love. Do you hear me? We are a requited love. And we always will be.
Spencer: okay. I hear you.
Toby: now, never use that word again.
Spencer: yes sir *she laughs*
Toby: I'm serious
Spencer: *kisses Toby*
Toby begins kissing down her neck making her giggle.
Toby: it still works I see. *he says between kisses*
Spencer: *laughs*

Toby: have you eaten?
Spencer: not really hungry.
Toby: that's not what I asked. Let's go to dinner.
Spencer: but I'm not hungry
Toby: you need to eat. Okay? Come on, let's get in the car princess.
Spencer: okay.

In the car

Spencer: I'm hungryyyyy!
Toby: and this is why we are going to dinner.

At Dinner

Spencer is obviously bothered because of what happened earlier with her parents.
Toby: Honey, what's going on?
Spencer: um, I told my parents we are back together.
Toby: *runs his hand through his hair* and it didn't go well...
Spencer: they said I'm your second choice and that it's a mistake. But I'm sure they will come around.
Toby: I hope so. Was Melissa supportive?
Spencer: She was very supportive.
Toby: that's great!
Spencer: yeah, it is.
Toby: we should go see your parents tomorrow...
Spencer: I don't want to.
Toby: I want them to be supportive. I want to explain. Because I love you and I want everyone to be on board.
Spencer: okay... fine. We will go.
Toby: do you wanna watch a movie when we get home?
Spencer: uh- yeah sure! Why not!
Toby: what movie do you want to watch?
Spencer: can we watch the fault in our stars?
Toby: sure, anything you want.

Toby's POV

It wasn't until later that night I noticed the necklace she had on.
