Chapter Twenty-Four

Veronica jumped up and hugged her daughter.
Veronica: Oh my gosh that is amazing honey! Congratulations! I always knew you two would end up together.
Spencer: Thank you so much for supporting me mom. I love you.
Veronica: I love you too, sweetie.
Spencer: But mom?
Veronica: Yeah honey?
Spencer: What about Dad?
Veronica: Don't worry about it. If he isn't over it, it's on him. He is being an asshole and if he doesn't get over himself, that's it. He should be happy for you.
Spencer: I just... always thought he would walk me down the aisle.
Veronica: I know sweetie. I know. 
Spencer: Will you do it?
Veronica: Do what?
Spencer: Walk me down the aisle?
Veronica: Are you sure?
Spencer: Yes.
Veronica: Of course I will!
Spencer: Thank you mom.
Veronica: Do you want to stay and eat some lunch?
Spencer: Well I was supposed to go meet the girls but I can change it to meet them later.
Veronica: No go tell your friends!
Spencer: No, I will just push it back a bit. They will understand.
Veronica: Okay.

One Hour Later

Peter comes through the door and his face turns bright red when he sees Spencer.
