Chapter Thirteen

At the hospital (Spencer did pass out.)
Toby: NO! SPENCER! NO! (Btw Toby fell asleep)
Aria: what's wrong?
Toby: i-is Spencer dead?
Emily: oh! Toby no! She just passed out.
Toby: Thank God... I can't live without her.
Hanna: we know, we know.
Caleb: she is gonna be okay, Toby.

Then, a doctor walked through the door. Toby gulped and held his breath. His stomach was flipping. It felt like his heart was pounding 100 times per second.

Doctor: Mr. Cavanaugh?
Toby: yes?
Doctor: are these Miss. Hastings' friends?
Toby: yes, they are.
Doctor: okay. So, Spencer is going to be just fine. She can have visi—

Everyone stood up.

Doctor: hold on, guys. She can have visitors. But only 2 or three at a time. So I'll let you all work out who will go in first.

Aria: I know that Spencer is my best friend, and as much as I want to see her right this second, I think Toby needs to go in there first.
All: I agree.
Toby: thanks guys... I'll try to be quick.
Alison: no, Toby. Take your time.
Toby: okay, thank you.

Toby walks into Spencer's hospital room. He is having flashbacks of after the dollhouse. He hates seeing her in hospitals. Scratch that, he hates hospitals in general. He takes a deep breath before opening the door.

Toby: Hey Spence...
Spencer: Hey Tobes.
Toby: you okay?
Spencer: yeah I'm okay.
Toby: I was so worried. I thought that you—
Spencer: Toby.
Toby: what?
Spencer: I told you I'm not going back to that. Ever. I promise.

Toby hugs Spencer tightly. Spencer does the same. Neither of them wanting to let go... ever.

Toby: I love you. So much.
Spencer: I love you more, Tobes.
Toby: okay, so I'm going to go back out before your friends freak out because they want to come visit you.

Spencer laughs because she knows it's true that they would freak out.

Toby walks out of the hospital room, leaving Spencer alone with her thoughts. Until a very familiar face came through the door. Hanna's.

Spencer: hey Han.
Hanna: Spencer you can't scare us like that!
Spencer: *laughs* I didn't mean to.
Hanna: mhm. How are you?
Spencer: what do you think? I'm in a hospital.
Hanna: I know. I just mean... how are you?
Spencer: I'm okay.
Hanna: okay, I'm gonna let aria come in. Bye Spence.
Spencer: bye Han.

Aria: hey Spence. How are you?
Spencer: hey aria. I'm alright. You?
Aria: I'm okay. Why did you pass out?
Spencer: just stress. That's all.
Aria: mhm. There is something you're not telling me.
Spencer: no, I don't think so.
Aria: don't lie to me. I care about you. So I'm trying to help you.
Spencer: it was a one time thing!!!
