Chapter Six

Toby's POV
It wasn't until later that night I noticed what necklace she had on...

Spencer: what's wrong Tobes?
Toby: you still have it? After all this time? You kept it?
Spencer: *looks down at her necklace and smiles* yep, I couldn't let it go.
Toby: I love you.
Spencer: I love you more.
Toby: I don't think that's possible.

An hour later Toby pays for the food and they head for the truck.
Spencer: tonight was perfect... thank you.
Toby: you deserve nothing less than perfect baby girl. *kisses Spencer*

On the way home

Toby: I have the notebook if you wanna watch it?
Spencer: seriously? You still have it?
Toby: yes I do. Wanna watch?
Spencer: obviously! Ohhhh do you have popcorn?
Toby: always do.
Spencer: yay!

When they get back to the loft, Toby gets out the movie and makes popcorn while Spencer goes to get some comfy clothes on. Spencer comes down the stairs.
Toby: you you that's my shirt?
Spencer: I know, and you're never getting it back.
Toby: I don't want it back. It looks better on you babe. *kisses her forehead*
Spencer: where are the blankets?
Toby: on the couch.
Spencer: OHHH IT'S MOVIE NIGHT AND IM SO HAPPY!!!
Toby: *laughs* anything for you.
The microwave beeps and Toby gets the popcorn and pours it into a big bowl. As the movie plays, Toby stares down at Spencer just admiring her beauty. She is beautiful inside and out. He thought. Toby loves how invested Spencer is with this movie. Spencer knows Toby is staring down at her so she looks up and kisses him. She cuddles into his chest as he holds her. She hopes this moment will last forever. Toby holds her tight. But not too tight. Just enough for her to know that he will never let her go. Toby and Spencer both know that they will marry each other someday.

As the movie ends Toby notices Spencer is asleep. He turns off the TV and picks up Spencer and carries her to the bedroom. She slowly wakes up.
Spencer: Tobes, where are we going?
Toby: shhh, we are just going to go to sleep.
Spencer: okay...
Toby gently puts her down on the bed and covers her up with the blankets.
Toby: do you want me to sleep on the couch?
Spencer: no, I want you to stay with me.
Toby: okay.
Toby gets changed and gets into bed with Spencer. Spencer cuddles up to him and puts her head on his chest as she falls asleep. Toby always loved when she did this. He loves knowing that Spencer feels safe with him. Toby strokes her hair and falls asleep. He wakes up the next morning before Spencer and doesn't want to wake her. So he carefully got up and walked to the kitchen.

He is going to make breakfast for Spencer. He made waffles, toast, and eggs. Spencer's favorite. She likes waffles with whipped cream so he gets the whipped cream out. He makes coffee for him and Spencer and he brings it upstairs on a tray.

Spencer POV

I wake up and notice Toby is not here. So I say back down and wait for him to come back. Toby comes in with waffles, toast, and eggs. And best of all, COFFEE!
Spencer: oh my god thank you!!!
Toby: anything for you. So, how are you this morning.
Spencer: really good.
Toby: you should try eating the breakfast your boyfriend made for you before it gets cold.
Spencer: I love the sound of that...
Toby: of what?
Spencer: you calling yourself my boyfriend.
Toby: here is your fork.
Spencer: *laughs*

10 minutes later

Spencer: Tobes, can I have more coffee?
Toby: this is like your third cup!
Spencer: but I want more!
Toby: fine, it goes against my better judgement... but this is your last cup.
Spencer: yes sir! *laughs*

Toby comes up with more coffee

Spencer: thank you.
Toby: so I have to get ready for work, what are you doing today?
Spencer: Well, I have to go see Emily and Alison something
Toby: and what's that?
Spencer: Wren is the father of their babies...
Toby: wow. How?
Spencer: I'll explain it after work. You're going to be late. It's 8:30.
Toby: oh my gosh! I gotta go!
Spencer: *laughs*

Spencer hears Toby turn on the shower and decides to go in. As Toby undressed, Spencer peeks through the door. She watches as he gets into the shower and jumps into the shower with him.

Toby: what are you doing? *laughs*
Spencer: well I have to shower too!
Toby: turn around.
Spencer: you embarrassed Mr. Cavanaugh?
Toby: not for a minute Hastings. *kisses her*

Spencer kisses back. And since Toby has to go to work, that's all that happens. So they shower and get dressed.

30 minutes later

Toby: bye baby girl, I love you.
Spencer: Bye Tobes, I love you too! *kisses Toby*

Spencer finished getting ready to go next door.

At Emily and Alison's

Spencer: *knocks on the door*
Alison: hey Spence, what's up?
Spencer: I need to tell you and Emily something. Is she home?
Alison: yeah. She is home. Come inside.

They walk into the living room and they all sit on the couch.

Emily: what's wrong?
Spencer: I know who the father of your babies are. I've known for a couple weeks. But I was still trying to process it so please don't scream at me.
Alison: I am not angry.
Emily: I'm not either. Who is it?
Spencer: Wren. Wren Kingston.
Emily: as in Melissa's ex fiancé?
Spencer: that's the one.
Alison: wow. Um okay. How did you find out?
Spencer: Alex told me while she had me locked in the room.
Emily: thank you for telling us.
Spencer: no problem. Anyway, how are you guys?
Alison: pretty good. Exhausted. The twins are still waking up at night.
Spencer: you guys deserve a night out. Toby and I would love to babysit!
Emily: are you sure?
Spencer: absolutely! When do you wanna go out?
Alison: how about next Saturday?
Spencer: that works! Just text me what time.
Emily: thank you Spencer.
Spencer: really, it's no problem! It will be great practice! *pats her belly*
Alison: ARE YOU PREGNANT?!
Spencer: no! God no! I was joking. I've been thinking about having kids lately though.
Emily: have you and Toby... you know? Done it?
Spencer: No, I want to, but I don't know if he is ready and to be honest I don't even know if I am ready either. *blushes*
Alison: what aren't you telling us?
Spencer: Toby and I showered together this morning.
Emily: TEAM SPOBY IS BACK!!!!
Everyone: *laughs*
Spencer: do you girls wanna grab lunch with the rest of the girls? You can bring Lilly and Grace or you can leave them with Ezra and Caleb. *laughs*
Alison: sure! Let's go.
Spencer: perfect! I'll call Aria and Hanna.
