Chapter Twenty-Five

Peter: What is she doing here?

Veronica: She is our daughter, she can be here.

Peter notices the ring and sighs.

Peter: Spencer...

Spencer: Father. 

Peter: Are you happy? Is this what you want?

A tear rolls down Spencer's cheek. 

Spencer: Yes Dad, yes it really is. I am so happy, I love Toby with my whole heart and he loves me. 

Peter: I just... I just don't want you to get hurt again. But if you are happy, then I am happy. I love you, and I am so sorry for being a horrible father. I will be better.

Spencer: Thank you Dad.

Peter: I am proud of you, I have never said that enough.

Peter hugs Spencer.

A few minutes later, Spencer leaves to meet Aria, Hanna, Emily, and Alison.

Spencer walks in and sees all of her friends already sitting down. 

Spencer: Hi!

Aria, Hanna, Emily, and Alison: Hi!

Spencer puts her left hand in her pocket, and Aria notices that Spencer isn't saying something. 

Spencer: How are you guys?

Everyone answers that they are doing well and Hanna asks how Spencer is.

Spencer: I am doing great! There is actually something I want to tell you all. 

Spencer has a huge smile on her face.

Alison: What is it?!

Hanna: Tell us now!

Emily: We need to know!

Aria: Spence! What is it?

Spencer takes her left hand out of her pocket and smiles bigger, if that is even possible.

Spencer: Toby and I are engaged!

Everyone starts screaming and people are looking at them, but they don't care. 

Aria: Congratulations!

Alison: I am so happy for you!

Emily: I've always loved you two together.

Hanna: We are all married or engaged! I am so happy for you guys, I always knew you would end up together.

AN- Hi guys! I am not gonna lie and say that things are easier for me, because they aren't. But I am getting better and I am so excited to be writing this story again. Thank you for always being so patient with me and always being so supportive. I love all of you so much.
