"Shit I left my phone in the car I'm gonna run down and get it Deans" Harris shouted from the kitchen.
He left our flat. I looked around and noticed that near the door on the floor was Harris' phone. If his phone was here what was he doing downstai...
I ran to her straight away to see if she was still alive and she was. I immediately called an ambulance. All I could see was 5 security guards from 5 different shops run and detain the man,
"what emergency service would you like?"
"Ambulance please" I spoke quickly, as I saw the guards taking him somewhere so that he would be a threat to the public. After the man had gone thats when the other fe people came. I saw Dina come over and kneel down and help the girl with me and the other 2 men that came to help. While I was explaining what had happened the ambulance the others helped her up and lent her against the wall.
I got off the phone to the ambulance and turned to the lady and held her hand.
"Ive just called the ambulance and they'll be here soon, do you have anyone we can call? Your mum, dad, boyfriend?" I asked her quietly, she looked young, in her late teens maybe. She shook her head and was breathing heavily.
"No" she struggled to get her words out, she was going to explain further but I stopped her.
"Shshshhh its okay, its fine you'll be okay" I comforted her and turned and looked at Dina who had tears in her eyes. I saw that the ladys bag had fallen and a few of her things were scattered on the floor. Her driving licence, keys, purse. I looked at the ID. Her name was Kimberly Wang. I slid her stuff back into her bag and held her hand once again to make sure she felt safe.
We could hear the ambulance in the back. They were very close. I turned and whispered to Dina.
"I think I'm gonna stay in the hospital with her Deans, will you be okay on your own"
"Yeah of course" Dina wiped her eyes and understood. I could see that she felt helpless and emotional.
"You can drive home on your own right?" I asked her.
"yeah um ill be fine" She replied. I handed her my keys so she could take the car home. The ambulance was here. I could see them jogging from the distance with their emergency bed to escort the woman into the van.
"They're here" I turned to the Kimberly. She had her mouth open and was breathing heavily but slowly nodded. They were standing right above me.
"Is this the casualty?" They asked.
"Yes thats her." I said standing up. I watched them pick her up and lay her on the bed. They asked me if I was coming and I said yes. I quickly kissed Dina goodnight and I followed them into the back of the van.

NEXT MORNING
Harris' pov
They had to stitch the cut she had in her head back up last night and the had been doing checks on her all night to see if she had had memory loss or had lost her hearing. I sat in the chair beside her bed all night until I fell asleep. I woke up early in the morning and messaged Dina to ask if she was okay. She called me two hours later and we spoke about everything that had happened. She was still worried for Kimberly, she was shocked by what she had seen yesterday because that could've easily been her. I told her I had to go as there was a doctor coming in.
"How is she doctor?" I asked him as he came in with his clipboard.
"She's fine, no signs of any memory loss or loss of sight and hearing, well keep her here for the rest of the day and then if everything okay well discharge her later tonight." he calmly explained. "Do you know Miss Wang personally?"
"No Doctor, she just didn't call anyone to stay here with her and she's only young so I wanted her to feel safe and have someone with her" I said.
"Thats very admirable of you" He thanked me. I didnt want to be thanked. For some reason I felt responsible as if I had reported the man a bit quicker this might have been avoided. The doctor did a few checks while she was still asleep and then left. I got up to get a coffee as I hadn't had breakfast or eaten anything since last night. When I came back I saw that Kimberly was awake,
"Hello" I smiled at her, "Feeling better?" I asked.
"aren't you the man who helped me yesterday? What are you doing here?" She asked looking confused about to sit up.
"Nono stay where you are, Doctor said to rest" I said putting my coffee down and pulling my chair closer to the bed "You didnt call anyone stay here with you and I know I'm a stranger myself but I didnt want you to feel alone"
"Thats so kind of you" She smiled.
"Ill ask the doctors to get you some breakfast" I left the room and told a nurse to provide Kim with food. As I went back in I sat back down and sipped my coffee.
"Doctors say your doing well, your lucky the guys aim was rubbish, If he'd have hit you properly things would have turned out much worse" I explained.
"Thank god everything fine" She said.
"Do you need anything?" I asked her.
"Yes I need the bathroom, will you help me up" She asked. I put my cup down and put my arm around her back and slowly helped her up and she walked to the bathroom. While she was in there the nurse came in with a tray of breakfast for Kimberly, she put it down beside her bed and left. Kimberly came back and I helped her slowly sit back down. I pulled the table closer to her so she could eat. We both had breakfast together. We spoke a bit and got to know each other. I told her about Dina and the baby.
"I wish you both the best of luck, and I know the babys going to turn out perfect" She said drinking a glass of water.
"Thank you Kim" I smiled. "If you don't mind me asking, why didnt you want any of your family here with you?" she hesitated,
"Its not that I didnt want anyone here, its that I have no-one" She started. "Its always been just me and my mother, I had no other family. Last year I lost her to cancer, and I've been on my own ever since."
"Wow. Your only 19" I said shocked and feeling sorry for her.
"You don't know what loss does to you" She said, her eyes beginning to water.
"Trust me I do. I lost my brother too." I replied.
"Im so sorry" She said. "Then you know how it feels" She cried.
"I do" I said. I grabbed a tissue and handed it to her. She wiped her tears.
"Your an amazing man Harris, so kind"
I smiled at her.
And she was an amazing girl.
