• chapter 10 •

jungkook anxiously waits for yerim, who doesn't seem to be arriving anytime soon. she will believe him, right?

jungkook was dumbfounded with the whole situation as well. he didn't know taehyung was the one who killed jisoo by crashing onto her car.

taehyung came to him, saying that he crashed his car against the traffic light, and jungkook didn't question him on that. he uploaded the photo with the caption without knowing the fact that taehyung just killed jisoo by then.

when the news of jisoo's death finally being heard by him, jungkook took quiet a while to put all the information together.

taehyung really killed jisoo?

he can't believe it at all. he quickly deleted his photo to avoid any assumption from others, but he caught a glimpse on how yerim had liked his photo before unliking it.

so, here he is, patiently waiting for yerim at their old date place together, by the river. he wanted to reveal everything so that yerim can warn everyone, especially joohyun and jonghyun, to be more careful in the future.

"kook!"

jungkook unknowingly sighs in relief when he heard her beautiful voice. she trusts him, thank god.

"rim." he patted the seat next to him. "sit, and i'll tell you everything, one by one."

he then explained from the beginning till the end. yerim was doubtful at first, but she decided to trust him, as always.

"thank you for the information, kook. i appreciate it a lot." she then stood up. "i'll get going first, jonghyun sunbae must be waiting for me already."

"you came here with jonghyun sunbae?" jungkook questions. "let me walk you to his car."

"sure." jonghyun felt reassured as he watches yerim talking with jungkook, as it seems like there is nothing bad going to happen.

he isn't sure, though. is jungkook speaking the truth? or are these part of his plan with taehyung, so that they could hurt more people after this?

just then, he received a call from an unknown number.

"hello?"

"mr president..."

jonghyun suck in a deep breath when he heard such a deep, familiar voice. "what do you want?"

"i have warned you, right?"

jonghyun then looks over towards yerim, who is still talking with jungkook. he kept an eye on her as he continue speaking.

"do not hurt my friends, taehyung."

"and what makes you think that i will follow your order?" the caller laughs. "why don't you check on daniel? he--"

jonghyun ended the call without any hesitation. he then quickly dialled daniel's number, as he taps on his tigh impatiently, hoping for daniel to pick up his phone.

"please, please--"

"--jonghyun hyung?" jonghyun sighs in relief as he heard daniel's voice speaking over the line, seeming fine.

"are you fine? where are you now?"

"i'm fine, and i'm at my house, with seul noona." daniel answered calmly.

"listen to me. lock the door, and don't let anybody come in, okay? just, don't. i'll visit your house later on, okay?"

"o--kay? hyung, is there anything wrong--"

"--just listen to me. i'll explain everything later on." just then, jonghyun saw yerim and jungkook heading towards his car. "i'll hang up first, take care!"

he quickly hangs up, just in time as yerim knocked his window. "sunbaenim!"

jonghyun took a deep breath to calm down a little, before getting out of his car. "are you done?"

"yes." yerim nodded. "ahh, this is jungkook. he explained everything to me earlier."

jungkook hesitantly offered a handshake, in which jonghyun gladly accepted it. jungkook surely have heard about him, the almighty kim jonghyun, the famous president from sky university.

"thank you for helping us, jungkook-ssi."

"ahh, it's nothing, sunbaenim." jungkook bowed down. "i guess i'll get going first?"

"sure. take care of yourself, jungkook-ssi."

"right, thank you, sunbaenim." he bowed down once again before turning towards yerim, as his lips stretched into a grin, "and bye, rim!" he ruffled her hair before walking away.

yerim was flustered at his action, but she quickly brushed the weird feelings away.

"yerim."

"yes, sunbae?"

"let's go and visit daniel and seulgi. you wouldn't want to believe what happened just now."
