Kimberly's POV

I'm on the floor as bullets are flying "stay down" James yelled to me I kept my head down what in the world is going on I started to panic I never been in a situation like this I felt a hand grab me I screamed "no let me go" the man that grabbed me was dragging me out the VIP section "please let me go James!"

James POV

I heard Kimberly call out for me "shit" I looked past the people running around the club and saw someone dragging Kimberly out the club he turned around I looked him in the eye and shot him right in the chest before he pulled his gun "Kimberly come on" Kimberly got up and ran

Kimberly's POV

As I felt the man grip on me loosen I ran as far as I can to James all I saw was him and his friends shooting "James!" "Kimberly!" I ran into his arms "what the hell is happening?" "I'll explain later now we have to get out of here guys cover us" mike, Troy and Tyres started shooting at the men James grabbed my hand and we ran to the back of the club "well well well if it isn't James Matthews" "I see your boss is still letting his pawns do his dirty work" "all we want is the girl" "hell no" "sorry man her family ows a dept" the man reaches for his gun and before he can even shoot James shoots him right in between his eyes making me scream James took out the back of the club where a car was "James get in"

James POV

We got in the car and Mike drive off "where to man?" "My place" "what about her?" "She's coming too" I look next to me at Kimberly she was shaking like crazy I place my hand on top of hers she looked up at me "what did those men want from me,who are they,where did they come from,why do you have a gun, what the hell is going on!?" Kimberly was panicking "Kimberly calm down just breath" "I can't I...I ju-" "shit" Kimberly past out I guess from all the panic "well at least she won't fight you going into your house" sometimes I wonder why I have them as friends

We arrived at my house in the next hour in half
"What's going on?" Kimberly finally woke up "hey you OK?" She started to look around "w-where are we?" "My place" she looked up at me "don't worry it's safe"

Kimberly's POV

As we got out the car I just started at his house

"Is this your house?" "Yes let's go"James grabbed me by my arm and took me inside "wow this place is so beautiful"

"Here sit down" James seemed mad upset about something "James?" "What!?" He screamed making me jump he sighed sitting next to me "look I'm not mad at you I'm mad at what happened" I look at him confused "speaking of what happened why do you have a gun?" He looked down "listen im going to tell you something but you can't freak out and want to leave because you are in danger" I nodded my head yes promising but hearing that I started to freak out but I didn't show it because I promised he turned to me looking in my eyes "you ever heard of the Mateos?" "Um yes they are a real big mafia group but what do they have to do with anything?"

James POV

I look at her not wanting to tell her but I already started up the conversation I sighed "well my name isn't James Matthews it's James Matthews Mateo" I waited for her to freak out scream and run away but she just looked at me emotionless what surprised me was she started laughing I was shocked "haha don't worry I'm not going to run away besides you saved me and plus I heard that the Mateo's are very respected also I never heard you guys on the news so" she paused thinking then spoke again "do you work for them even though your apart of the family?" "I-" i was interrupted by the guys walking in the living room Troy spoke "were going to head home everything seems fine" I thanked him and the others and turned my attention back to Kimberly "look Kimberly" she started at me "I don't just work for the Mateo's I'm their leader" she looked at me with wide eyes for what seemed to be 10 minutes but then her eyes softened looking down "that's OK it's fine to now that I can't run anyways where am I going to run to it's just me" hearing her say that I remember that her family is dead and she doesn't know or wants too know what happened to her aunt and her boyfriend "look it seems like those men where after you for some kind of dept so I'm going to have you stay here to keep you safe" she stood up "oh no I can't... I can't do that I don't want to be a burden and plus what if they come here?"

Kimberly's POV

James leaned back on the couch folding his arms smirking "I'm James Mateo baby they can try to come here cause of they do Li ucciderò" (I'll kill them) I look at him confused not knowing what that last part was he got up and walk half way out the living room "come I'll show you where you'll be sleeping" I follow him down a beautiful hallway into a room the size of my whole apartment

"James this room is beautiful" I walked in taking in the beauty of the room "glad you think so anyways the bathroom is over there I'll bring you one of my shirts I don't have anything else for you to sleep in and you can get some rest and I'll take you home in the morning" I turned around "thank you so much James really" "aren't you glad to have a boss like me?" "Whatever" I gave him a small smile as he walked out the room "gosh the place is so luxurious... A little too luxurious for me at least" the door opens "here this is the best I can do" "thank you James" I took the shirt looking up at him "well um good night and thank you again" "no need to thank me I'd do anything for you" he smirked when he said that gosh this man is going to be the death of me he closed the door after a warm shower I get into bed it was like laying on a cloud very comfortable but I couldn't sleep what went down tonight is bothering me what did those men want from me and who were they?
