I get home and sit down in the living room. My mom and dad won't be here until 6 so I have the house to myself. I decide to text Ryan
Matt Watson: Hey
ryan magee 🗿: hey, is this matt?
Matt Watson: Yeah 'tis I
ryan magee 🗿: sweet. well what's up?
Matt Watson: Not much. I have the house to myself for a while and I'm bored as fuck
ryan magee 🗿: well do you want to send each other memes to help your boredom?"
Matt Watson: Fuck yeah! Dude let's have like a meme battle. Whoever runs out of memes first loses.
ryan magee 🗿: oh it is on
We message back in forth for a while when I notice my meme supply is getting low. Shit, I can't loose. Ryan hasn't messaged me back in a couple minutes. I wonder if he is- oh shit
Matt Watson: Hey! It's cheating to download more memes. Or do you claim your defeat as loser?
He doesn't read it still so I put my phone down and watch some Netflix. They took It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia down so I'm gonna try to watch all of The Office. I've only seen bits and pieces of it so I'm gonna try to sit down and watch it throughout. My mom and dad get home and Ryan still hasn't messaged me back.
My mom finishes up dinner so I turn the TV off and go to the table.
"How was your day Matt?" My mom asks
"It was okay. Not as bad as I expected."
"See, I told you it would be fine."
"Yeah thanks mom."
"Did you make any more friends?"
"Yeah I think so."
She looks surprised. I don't think she thought I would have any other friends than Tucker.
"Well who are they? Tell me all about them."
"His name is Ryan. I have some classes with him."
"That's all?"
"Mom" I groan
"Okay, I'm sorry. I'm just excited for you. Tell him he is invited whenever."
"Okay sounds good."
I hear my phone buzz. I'm already finished with dinner so I get up and put my dishes in the sink.
I wonder if it's from Ryan.
