Kenzies pov:

I sit on the aeroplane and look out the window. Thinking over and over again about what just happened.

J: what do you mean?
K: I mean what I said. I need more time Johnny all of this-

He scoffs and I fold my arms.

K: you're not being fair.
J: you won't even trust me.

I don't say anything and he walks out the room.

I remember how his shoulders slumped and how he looked at me. His eyes were laced with pain and he sighed. I wanted to say yes. But I don't know what will happen from there. I don't want to rush this. I don't want to hold him back. I look over at the boy who looked like he was around my age right next to me. He turns to smile at me and I instantly remember him.

K: Jacob?
Jc: do we know each other?

I raise my eyebrows and he looks at me in realisation.

Jc: I helped jump start your car right?

I nod biting my lip.

Jc: Let me guess cute girl I gave my jacket too?

I nod then pause.

K: cute?

He sent me a wink looking back down at his phone.

Jc: so you're going to LA for a holiday?
K: well judging by the amount of days it took to pack, I'm pretty sure I'm planning to stay there for a while.

He looks at me raising his eyebrows.

Jc: no way, same!

Before he smirks at me.

Jc: guess we were meant to be
K: what?
Jc: it sounded better in my head.

I could help but giggle.

K: you got a girlfriend there
Jc: wow you really don't waste time do you

I blush as soon as he says this opening my mouth to respond.

Jc: relax I'm joking
K: I can't tell if you're trying to flirt or trying to get punched in the face.

His eyes went down to my hands and up to my face again smirking.

Jc: I'm pretty sure you will punch me either way
K: you didn't answer my question
Jc: no I don't

We sit in silence and I look towards the door. Thinking about how different things would be if I wasn't moving.

Jc: what about you?
K: me what?
Jc: do you have a boyfriend

I sigh looking down, his eyes darken.

Jc: don't tell me any of those assholes hurt you?
K: it's..complicated. I don't know how I feel about..him.
Jc: well do you want to try it out
K: well what is the point I'm on a plane to LA as we speak

I say in a duh tone.

Jc: well if you really loved him you would stay
K: going to LA is maddies dream I can't just ruin things for her
Jc: ruin things?
K: I'm her sister I need to support her.
Jc: fair enough but if Maddie loved you she would understand. and if he loved you..

He pauses looking at me seriously right now.

Jc: he would never let you go.
