What have i got myself into

Kenzie POV:

I pout my lip and glare over at Lauren.

K: pleaseeee
L: NO u watched like two seasons of vampire dairies now! I want to talk to you.

She turns on the light and I groan as it burns my eyes.

K: what

I grumble.

L: well that wasn't very-
K: WHAT

She giggles and holds her hands up in surrender.

L: ok ok I know your itching to know

I give her a blank stare before she carries on.

L: ok sooo.... Carson just asked me out.
K: WHAT

I screeched.

K: who? What? When? Where? How?
L: oh so you are interested.

She looks over at me to receive another one of my famous blank stares.

L: well we were going to by these snacks for everyone so we can watch a movie, and we were talking about you know... stuff. Then he kneels down and gives me a necklace that says LC on it, and under a rose. And-
K: what about Johnny?
L: I was gonna get on to that, before you rudely interrupted. ANYWHO he was literally said that if he has to fight Johnny for me to be his girlfriend so be it, I love you Lauren and I can't keep this a secret anymore.

K: it wasn't really a secret everyone knew-
L: shut up, ANYWHOOOO he placed the necklace on my neck-
K: wait! Carson?
L: yes
K: as in the one who does not take anything seriously
L: well... yes
K: for real?
L: yes Kenzie for real
K: I don't believe you

She took out a necklace the had LC on it and under was a diamond studded rose.

K: what about Johnny?
L: what about him?
K: he will never let you date!
L: shhhh! That is why we are keeping it a secret dumbass.
K: both of you are stupid.
L: no WE are not!
K: you are! And I am not taking any part in this.
L: well.....
K: Lauren?
L: this is were you come in.
K: I- what?
L: every time we go out you need to come so it look old like we are in a group not a date, then you can just wait in the car.
K: and do what?
L: wait.
K: no

L: why?
K: Lauren Johnny trusts Carson, and hopefully he trusts me. He is gonna lose trust for Carson and the little left he has for me as soon as he finds out I am helping his sister go out with his best friend. It's wrong.
L: Kenzie....
K: I. Am. Not. Doing. It.

I look down so I can't see her reaction. We sit there in silence before she speaks.

L: Kenzie I love him you should understand that my brother does not matter if he cant accept that I love him then it's his problem.
K: Lauren you don't get how it is to have someone close to you betray you.
L: by what love?
K: you can't love him he just asked you out today!
L: I don't care I do Kenzie!

She pauses.

L. You won't understand.

She says quietly I look over at her as she fiddles  with the necklace. I sigh.

K: ugh fine
L: REALLY!

She hugs me while saying thank you over and over again. I groan to myself.
