Chapter 6

"So, you lied down on the grass beside the river with Mark?" Yugyeom asked putting potato chips in his mouth as if he is listening to some sort of Korean drama.

"That's not the point. The point is how he tried to kiss me." Jinyoung pointed out. He has been complaining to his homies about Mark being a jerk this afternoon but again, he was teased by Yugyeom who likes to ship him and Mark so hard. He, of course, deleted the part of when Jackson come and search for him before he met Mark. He knows Jaebum will eat Jackson alive if he told him how Jackson showed up right in front of him. He remembers clearly how Jackson and Jaebum used to be enemy since middle school and Jaebum got angry and not talked to him for a month when he found out Jackson and Jinyoung were dating.

"Why did even you push him away?" Yugyeom asked.

"What?"

"I mean it's just a kiss." Now that Kim Yugyeom said, Jinyoung can't help but hit him with the pillow beside.

"Ah! Hyung!" and obviously Yugyeom hit him back.

"Ya!"

"What?"

"Guys, you are not kids anymore. Please stop it." Jaebum annoying said it and suddenly yellowed hair guy, laughed out loud.

"Hyung... you can't even confess to Youngjae hyung. You can't say that to us. You are kid too."

There! Choi Youngjae is put in the conversation. Jinyoung knows how much the older try to cover his feelings for Youngjae and he does not like to get teased by Youngjae although he likes Youngjae and Youngjae likes him.

"Bol? This little jerk... Come here!" Jaebum put his chin out and now, they are running around the room like a bunch of kids playing in the room when their mom is not around.

After just a minute later, Yugyeom ended up getting hit by Jaebum on his forehead. And Jinyoung can't help but laugh just by seeing how Yugyeom face looks like. Damn, that kid looks like a yellow minion.

"So anyway, you haven't told us why you hang out with Mark. You never accept to go out with him. Did you get forced to go?" Jaebum asked and now, Jinyoung heart skips a beat for a second. And he feels so stupid for whining about Mark when he forgot that he can't tell Jaebum that Jackson came to him this morning. He. Just. Can't. So, for the first time, he lied to his friends.

"Because...I was bored."

"because you were what?" Yugyeom asked in disbelief but with a happy face and a spark in his eyes. "You went out with Mark because you are bored?"

And he nodded.

"You went out with him because you are bored?" Maknae asked again and that makes Jaebum making a confusing face.

"W-what? Can't I go out with him b-because I am bored? C'mon I have a right to go out." Jinyoung said hoping his friends would let him go this time.

"Hmmm... let me guess." Jaebum narrows his eyes. Jaebum being detective is very scary especially when Jinyoung lies.

"YOU FINALLY DECIDED TO DATE MARK! Don't you?" Yugyeom sharp voice breaks the silence and whatever Jaebum was thinking is absolutely distracted by Yugyeom.

"What? You guys are dating." Jaebum followed. And now, that is worse. Jinyoung never thinks this kind of stupid thought would come across Yugyeom head. Fuck my life.

If Jinyoung tells the truth, Jaebum and Jackson will have a war and Jackson has his fellows who can beat up Jaebum in the blink of an eye. But if Jinyoung lies, there is Mark. If Jinyoung lies, there will be no fighting between his friend and Jackson but there will be Mark. How will Jinyoung face Mark when he lied to his friends that they are dating but actually they are not? Oh god he sounded like a crazy fangirl who is so obsessive enough to make a lie like this. Maybe not all the time but Jinyoung will have to be with Mark more often, if he decides to lie.

"Yah! Answer me. You are dating with Mark?" Jaebum asked again.

Shit.

"Yes." There. Jinyoung chose lies. Damn, he hates lies. But apparently, he did. Just now.

"I KNEW IT." Mark-jin biggest shipper, Yugyeom, shouted.

"Are you sure? Are you dating with Mark?" Jaebum asked again. As the oldest among friends, he has to make sure and clear about everything that his dongseang are doing. Jinyoung, his non-biological brother, who hated Mark last three months ago till yesterday, starts dating Mark and that is not something that Jaebum could easily let go. He looks at Jinyoung eyes which are looking down to the floor.

Is Jinyoung lying? Why isn't he looking at us? Or maybe he is shy? Right, he is shy. Of course, Jinyoung won't lie to us.

"Yes, I am dating with Mark." Jinyoung lies. He does not dare to look at Jaebum or Yugyeom but he has to. Otherwise they might think he is lying. So, he took all his courage and look straight to Jaebum, making the most innocent face and eyes with all the might he has.

"I KNEW IT! When did you start dating? Yesterday? Is that why Mark tries to kiss you and you were so shy so you run away?" Yugyeom fantasized every scenario that did not happened but Jinyoung follows them.

"Y-yeah."

Jaebum does not like the fact that Jinyoung easily give in to Mark. He is not that kind of guy. Jaebum knows it. But he believes Jinyoung won't lie especially when it comes to them. He never lies to his friends. With that thought, Jaebum believes Jinyoung.

"Well, I won't oppose that you are dating with Mark. Mark maybe a jerk who stands last in the whole school but he is head over heel for you, unlike someone I used to know. So, it's fine." Jaebum said emphasize on the someone-I-used-to-know. It is one and only Jackson. Of course, Jinyoung knows whom the older mean. But he let it go. He can't bring any topic concern with Jackson.

So, the younger just nodded and keep it silent and going with the flow to all the impossible scenario that Yugyeom make up.

Actually, Jinyoung choose to lie not because he likes to lie to his friends but it is just that he wanted to run away from Jackson being overwhelming in his life. It's been only half a day that Jackson showed up again in his life and he is really tired, trying not to think about all the things that he had gone through for a year. It is not that he still cares and loves Jackson but seeing the person whom you were crazily in love, can tear you apart especially when all that person did was nothing but to hurt you. So, Jinyoung needs an escape. At least if he stops talking about Jackson and forgets about Jackson showing up in his life again, maybe... he can live again like nothing has happen.

Maybe, he uses Mark...maybe it could help him stop letting Jackson come back to his life?
