Hunter's POV
"Rileyyy Annnn," I whine, poking her side.
"Hunter," she mimics, rolling her eyes at me.
"I don't know about you," I start.
Riley knows what I'm going to do, and she tries to cover my mouth with her hand. "Don't."
I grab both of her wrists in one hand, holding them to my chest. "But I'm feeling..."
"You aren't funny."
"Twenty-two."
"I hate you," she says, biting back a laugh.
"But it's my birthday."
"I still hate you."
I wrap my arms around her waist and back up until her back is touching the counter. I lean down, my lips pressed to her neck. I hear her suck in a small breath and I smile against her skin, slowly moving up her neck until I get to her jaw.
"Hunter," she mutters, her hands resting at my hips. She squeezes my side out of surprise when I bite down a little.
"Do you hate me now?" I mumble against her skin. I eventually make my way to her lips. She smiles into the kiss, and runs her hands up my back until her arms are looped around my neck.
"A little." She laughs.
"Good."
She pulls away, and I pout at her. "Don't give me that look, Hunter Edward. We have things to do. Now go change."
I put my hands up in surrender and walk back to my room. I pull on a sweater, a pair of jeans, and then a sweatshirt because it's still freezing out. I garb an extra hoodie for Riley because I know she's not gonna wear her own. It still makes me happy to see her in my clothes. She's always insisted on wearing them since we first got together and it's just the cutest thing to me.
I find her sitting on the couch next to Alex. "Happy birthday to my favorite person!" he yells, running at me. He wraps his arms around me in a huge hug, and I smile, hugging him right back.
"You like me more than Hannah?" I fake gasp.
"Bros before hoes, man."
"Hey!" Riley chimes in from the couch. Alex pulls away, but keeps an arm around my shoulders.
"She's my girlfriend, Rye. I know she isn't a hoe." Riley rolls her eyes at my best friend.
"Sorry, Alex, but I have things planned with your favorite person, and we have to go. I'll have him for the rest of the night." Riley laughs a little, and stands up.
Alex pouts a little, and Riey rolls her eyes again. "If you wanted to spend his birhtday with him, you shouldn't have been at Hannah's all day! Bros before hoes, my ass." She tries to stay serious, but I can see the way she's fighting a smile.
"Bye, babe." I laugh and kiss the side of Alex's head.
"I'll see you later, love birds. Be safe."
"Oh, hush," I call over my shoulder.
"You two are the gayest straight guys that I know." She comments when we get outside.
"I embrace it." I wrap my arm around her shoulders.

"So, where are we going, Miss Riley Ann?"
"Well, it isn't nearly as extravagant as what we did for my birthday, I'll give you that much. But, I'm not telling you."
I groan, but I don't complain because I did the same thing to her. At least I know my way around this town, so I can kind of guess on where we're going. It's about five in the evening now. I go from looking out the window to watching Riley and then back to looking out the window.
