(Riley's POV)

I walk inside and lean up against the door. "Oh my God," I mutter to myself, a smile on my face. I bring my soaking hair to one side of my head, letting it drape over my right shoulder. I can't stop smiling, the feeling of Hunter's lips lingering on my own.

Sam appears out of nowhere. "How was your night?" she asks me, her arms crossed, but there's a smile teasing at her lips.

"It was great." Thats a bit of an understatement. "I'm really tired, we can talk about it in the morning."

She lets out a disappointed sigh and follows me up the stairs. "Goodnight, Riley," she says. I bid her a goodnight also and walk into my room.

I change into some dry clothes and flop onto my bed, a huge grin still on my face. I haven't felt this happy in a really long time, but it's great.

(Hunter's POV)

I walk through the door quietly, not wanting to wake Alex. I get back to my room, changing into dry clothes then climbing into my bed.

I think I'm falling for Riley a little too hard.

But that's okay, because I think she might feel the same way.

With that thought on my mind. I drift off into a peaceful sleep.

I wake up and I know that I have to see her again. I scarf down a quick breakfast and glance at the clock. It's only ten; I don't want to seem desperate or to wake her or anything. I finally just take out my phone and text her.

"Hey, are you busy today?" I send. I put my phone on the counter and anxiously wait for a reply.

Alex comes into the kitchen, his hair a mess. "How was your date last night?" he asks with a yawn.

"Perfect." I say just as I get a reply from Riley.

"I was just going to go see my mom, you can come if you want. I think she'd like you." I read to myself. A huge smile spreads across my face.

"You're gonna see her again today, aren't you?" Alex says, running a hand through his curls in an unsuccessful attempt to tame them. I nod and run back to my room to get ready.

At eleven-thirty, I drive to Riley's house. I stand on the porch where we shared our goodbye kiss last night and I can't help but smile. I knock on the door and soon Bryce answers it.

"Hi buddy," I smile. He looks up at me.

"You're here for Riley aren't you?" he asks, a smile on his little face. I nod. "She was telling Sammie about you. She said that you guys kissed, but I don't know why you would kiss her. Girls have cooties." He scrunches his face up and I just laugh.

Riley appears behind the little boy. "Hi, Hunter," she smiles.

"Hello, Riley Ann," I say.

(Riley's POV)

"Hello, Riley Ann," Hunter says, a crooked smile on his face.

"Hi, Hunter, come on in," I say, smiling back at him. He follows me to the kitchen where Sam is sitting at the counter doing her math.

"And he's back," she mutters, a smile on her face.

"Shut up," I laugh. "He's gonna come with us to see Mom," I tell her. Sam looks up from her textbook to look at Hunter.

She looks him up and down. "Mom will love him," she says before going back to her math. He laughs a little.

"That's a good thing, right?" he says, looking kind of confused. I nod and he flashes another smile.
