POV | Kylie

It's been 2 days since Jane and I figured out our plan and today is the day we execute it. In about an hour, Dr. Brenner is going to come to our cells. My cell first.

So, El and I get to work. The first thing that we have to do is get rid of the fine net within the vent, so that we can balance out the air pressure.

When they took El to practice her powers, she somehow procured a screwdriver. She never told me how.

She strated doing her side first. She got rid of the outer vent and then, she started meddling with the fine inner net.

"Jane, how's it going?" I ask her. She grunts in response, getting rid of the inner net.

"One more to go!" I encourage her.

The last one was tough because the nail end was towards her side where as the screw end was towards me and I didn't have another screwdriver.

She threw the screwdriver on the floor and started to unscrew the last vent with her bare hands. She unscrewed 3.
"Jane, one more! You are doing amazing." I tell her.

Approximately 5 minutes later, I hear the last screw fall on the floor. 

"Jane! You did it!" I whisper-screamed. She smiled at me but looked hurt.

"What's wrong?" I asked her and her gaze travelled down to her palms. She held them up to show me. Her fingers were full of bleeding cuts and bruises.

"Don't worry. Once we get out of here, I will clean them up. I promise. Does it hurt too much?" I ask her.

"It's okay. I can manage." She replies. We have sometime before Dr. Brenner comes.

"What is the first thing you are going to do when you meet Mike?" I ask her. She smiles to herself and answers "I'll probably run into his arms, kiss him and watch his entire face turn red."

"What about you?" She asks me. "Hmm, firstly apologize to Mike and Hopper. Meet Will and Max." I tell her. "Max and I are friends now." She states. I stare at her face through the gap in the wall the moment she mentioned that she and Max were friends.

"How long was I gone?" I ask and she chuckles in response. "We talked it out. I apologized." She said.

The door clicks. I look at Jane who nods at me.

Dr. Brenner enters my cell with my food. "Ten, here's your porridge." He says placing it on the floor.

"Dr. Brenner?" I speak out. He turns on his heels to look at me. "Yes?"

"Can I speak with you?" He nods and comes closer. He keeps staring at my face with his bleeding eyes. I look at Jane, who is using up all her power to drain him.

Within thirty seconds he collapses in front of me. I shape shift into Dr. Brenner.

I get up and brush off my blue suit. I walk out the cell and one of the guards salutes me.

"Open the cell." I demand in a gruff voice scaring the poor guy in front of me. He opens the cell and I look at Jane.

"Eleven, come out." I say. She walks towards me as if she were scared but I know that deep down she was celebrating because out plan was working.

"Sir, are you sure you can take her?" The guard spoke up. I turned towards him so that now we were mere inches apart from one another. "I run this place. She is my daughter and you are nothing but a guard. You can't stop me. I'm your boss. So next time, don't tell me what to do. Is that clear?" I say the last sentence through my gritted teeth.

He nods in response. I pull Jane by her wrist and as soon as we turn the corner, I come back to my original self.

"Jane! It worked!" I whisper-screamed. She nodded smiling in response. We walked through the corridor until, we spotted the red vent that stood against the blue walls.

Jane crumples the metal vent with her powers. We crawl through the vent until we reach two diverging paths.

"Kylie?" I shush her immediately and whisper to her, "Jane, talk once we are out. If we do, the others can hear us."

We keep crawling until we reach the diversion. Now, from what all I could gather after looking at the lab blueprint while the guards carried me past Dr. Brenner's office was that we have to take a right.

Jane is following behind me. This vent seems to be really long.

After what seems like an eternity, I can see the end. Jane peers over my shoulder and crumples the vent like how she did earlier.

I step out first and Jane steps out next. The both of us stare at eachother, thinking the same thing.

"The upside down." We say in unison.

POV | Max

"I was looking for you too." I say to Lucas. "You go first." He tells me.

"I was thinking why don't we go out for ice cream and then to the quarry...it's been a while." He thought about what I said for a while and nodded with enthusiasm.

"So, what did you have to say?" I ask him while skating on my skateboard. "Let's go get that ice-cream first." He says with a smile decorating his face.

We reach 'Shivers' which is this new hip ice-cream parlour and they are the only store that serve my favourite ice cream flavour. "Hey, what for you?" Lucas asks me.

"Surprise me." I say teasingly. He comes back in a while holding two cones. I hope he got the flavour right.

"My lovely Maxine, here is your Salted Caramel medium cone with a dark roasted cone and pralines." He says anxiously.

He got it right! He remembered...

"How much have you been stalking me that you know my favourite ice-cream flavour?" He chuckles in response and digs into his Rocky-Road.

"So, what did you have to say?" I ask him for the millionth time.

"Max, do you know anything about Kylie having powers?" He says.

Powers?

Oh my gosh.
