POV| Kylie

It was dark and cold all around. The air smelt toxic. Small ashes were filled in the atmosphere. There were tree roots up the wall. But, they squirmed to my touch. I couldn't see anything, so I turned on my lighter. As I did that, all the tree roots cleared away. I kept walking through this unknown world and suddenly, the area around me struck me as familiar. I have been here before.

This is the same design as my house. This must be the upside down. I kept walking and finally reached a cliff. This must be the quarry. I looked down to find no water, but blue slime with tree roots swimming about.

Suddenly, I hear footsteps and as I turn back, a tiny little creature pushes me off the cliff .

I fall into the blue slime and suddenly all the tree roots have captured me. I try reaching for my lighter but, I fail. They now suffocate me and I can't do anything else but, give up.

Wow. That was a very weird dream. I wake up to find all my sheets wet from my sweat. The clock reads 0617. Today is a holiday. It's the weekend. So, I go back to sleep. Only this time, I hope I get a nicer dream.

POV | Eleven

It was 6:17 am when I abruptly woke up from my sleep. My pillow was soaked with my sweat. I touch my nose to find it bleeding. That's weird, I haven't even used my powers.

I get out of my room and wake up Dad. "Kid, just go back to sleep." He says falling asleep.
I'm not allowed to get out of the house and it's still dark out. I go back to sleep.

POV | Will

I wake up at around 9 am. Today is the day I am going to ask Kylie out. I go into the bathroom, brush my teeth and wash my face after.

"Will, are you up?" I can hear my mom banging my bedroom door. "Yes Mom. I'm up" I say as I get out of the bathroom behind her. She looks startled but calms down quick enough.

"Will, I have a few errands to run. Why don't you wake up Jonathan and ask him to take you to Mike's house? " My Mom asks.

If there is anything in this world that I hate the most, that will be waking up Jonathan. He swears a lot while you are waking him up and the insults are kind of mean.

I get into his room and shake him. "Jonathan, Mom wants you to wake up." I say shaking him vigorously. I remove his blanket to find 2 pillows taking up his body shape.

Just as I am about to tell Mom, I hear the door shut. She left. I turn around to find the window open. He escaped. I'm alone at home. It's not that I'm scared or anything but, I don't want to take chances. The upside down has an everlasting effect on my mind. With this thought, I close the window.

"Hey Dustin. This is Will. Over" I left a message for Dustin, but he doesn't reply.

"Dustin, I'm alone. Over." No reply.

Suddenly I hear a knock on the door and I stand there terrified.  I slowly walk over to the door and open it. There she stood. Kylie.

"Hey Will! Why do you look like a deer caught in the headlights of a car?" She asks me. More like caught in the headlights of love.

"Hey Kylie. What are you doing here?" I ask her and her expression goes sour. "I mean, do you need something? Not that I don't enjoy your company but I love your company." And you.

"Will. Chill. I'm just kidding around. Want to do something?" She asks me putting a hand on my shoulder. "Breakfast?" She asks. "Breakfast." I say back. She smiles at me and asks me to go and change.

I go into my room smiling and looking forward to our half-date.

POV | Kylie

Phew. So that is done. I think to myself grinning about the half-date.

Will comes out of his room wearing brown pants and a button down shirt. He smiles at me and I can't help but smile back at his adorable-ness.

We ride over to "Doughnuts and Coffee".

"So, what would you like to have?" Will asks me. Pancakes with chicken gravy. Kylie, don't be weird.

"Umm..pancakes with strawberries." I say with a smile. He nods back and goes over to the counter to give our order.

A few minutes later he comes back with our food. He got pancakes as well. Aw.

"I see you have copied me." I say smirking. He chuckles and smiles even wider if that was possible.

"Kylie I have been meaning to tell you about this for a long time." I look into his eyes and oh, there is that look. I nod back and ask him to proceed.

"Kylie, I have liked you since the day I met you. You are so different than the other girls. Just something about you is different. I feel like we have known each other for a really long time even though it's just been a month. I know it's too soon but, I just want you to know where I stand." He completes with pink tinting his cheeks.

"Wow, Will. I don't know what to say. It's just that. I've felt the same way." I say and he ends up choking on his food. "Are you alright?" I rush over to him and give him my glass of water.

"Sorry, just didn't expect it." He says back smiling.

We finish our breakfast and just walk around Hawkins leaving our bikes back at the café.

This was going to be a good day. I thought to myself.
