POV | Eleven

We walked towards the light, hoping it was a gate. "Eleven?" Jason said while tugging at my hospital gown.

"Yes cutie?" I ask him. "when go out?" He asked me. "We are almost there." I say to him. He nods and while running to Mark to tell him the news, he trips.

Then, the tree root things wrap around his arms and legs. "HELP!" he screams. Kylie and Mark run towards him. "Jane, can you try?" Kylie asks me.

I use my powers and try to free Jason but, the Mind Flayer has grown much stronger. My powers can't do anything. I feel my ears and nose bleed. Then I loose all my power and fall to the ground. "Jane!" Kylie hugs me.

"Heat. They don't like heat." I mumbled to her. "Where are we going to find fire of something hot?" Kylie mumbled to herself. "I can create a force field." Mark said. Kylie looks at him and he further explains, "Force field is hot."

Kylie and I nod simultaneously. Markputs both his hands in front of him and creates a force field around him and Jason. The root like things start unwrapping them selves and the air is filled with screeching sounds.

"You okay?" Mark asks Jason who was gasping for air. Jason nodded in response. He was really weak and Kylie being the strongest amongst us picked him up. When we finnaly reached the gate, I slowly started to break through the goo with my powers making it big enough so that all of us can fit.

Kylie went out first, followed by Mark and then I.

POV | Max

I saw Kylie coming out of a tree. She was carrying a small boy in her arms and was covered with goo and slime. "Guys! They came out!" I screamed and ran over to them.

"Kylie!" I screamed. She put the boy down and saw me. "MAX!" she ran towards me in her hospital gown. "I have missed you." I said to her. "I would hug you, but I'm not decent." She with a chuckle.

"Eleven?" I herd Mike say behind me. "Mike!" She ran up to him and contemplated on whether to hug or not. "It's okay. I don't mind you getting me gross." On staying that he pulled El into his arms, resting his chin on her head.

"Holy shit. What happened to you?" Lucas asks Kylie cause me to elbow him. Serves him right.

"Long story. I'll tell you guys later." Kylie says to Lucas and I. "Who are they?" Dustin asks her. "Oh right sorry. Boys, come up here!" She calls them over. The two boys come towards us. "Guys, this is Mark." She says while pointing at the boy with dark brown hair "And, this is Jason." She points at the boy with blonde hair who is hiding behind her. All of them in hospital gowns.

"Jane, I'm sorry to interrupt your reuninion, but you have to close it." Kylie says to El. El nods and holds up her palms to the gate. In a matter of minutes the gate closes.

"Where's Will?" Kylie asks me. "He didn't want to come. He's not in a good place. I'm really glad you are back! Wanna hang at the arcade later?" I ask her. "Umm..not today Max. I'm sorry, I have to.....take care of some things. Tomorrow sound good?"

"It's perfect." I reply with a smile.

Currently, all of us are walking back to Mike's house. "Kylie, do you have powers?" I hesitate to ask her. She looks at me and nods her head yes.

"Wait, what?!" Dustin, Lucas and Mike exclaim all at once. "What are they?" Lucas asks.

"I'll show you when we reach Mike's." Kylie says to all of us. She keeps looking down at her feet. Something's up.

"Anything you want to talk about?" I ask her. "They killed my mother."
