I drove home hungry and worn out. Dad had a bowl of my favorite ice cream in the freezer chilling. While stomach grow lied viciously, I pulled a spoon out of the silverware drawer then dug in. Kevin came down the stairs, stomping wildly. I laughed as he almost tripped over my foot.

"Hey! What was that for?"He demanded.

"Wake me up in the morning by opening my curtains without permission. You will feel my wrath."

"Oh. War it shall be. Isn't that my ice cream?"He glared at me like I grew three heads.

"You, eat raspberry sherbet since when?"I reply with another laugh.

I retreat to my room with a smile dancing on my face.

"How are you feeling?"May asked, concern etched on her face. May was my best friend also. I happen to have several best friends.

"I've been better, to be honest."

"Do you have to tutor Devin tonight?"

"Not until next Wednesday, so I have a free week without him!! It's a miracle!"I exclaimed with passion.

My Geometry teacher, Mr.Haller, forced me to tutor him or he would reduce my grade. What would he even do, say I failed a quiz when I really aced it? Whatever, I couldn't put my grade in jeopardy. Mom always encouraged me to keep my grades up, since I use to be a bad kid.

I use to hang around the wrong kind of people, smokers and potheads. I always rejected the drugs because Dad and Mom would smell the drugs' scent on my clothes. Soon enough, I figured out rights and wrongs and ditched them for Carrie and May.

"Earth to Hannah? Are you there? "May giggled softly as I snapped out of my trance.

"Yea. Sorry I was thinking."

Just then the bell rang and everyone scurries to their next hour.

Pop! My locker opened with a slight squeak. That annoyed me greatly. Only one more year of the stupid thing. No one occupied the locker to my right but Nicole Smith was to my left. I didn't mind her, she was a girl in my clique. Or you could say Carrie's clique, which I temporarily took over until she was found.

As I was about to leave, I got a text message from an unknown number. I looked around like someone was watching me, then opened the messaging app. It read:

Hey Hannah! I've never met you but we will soon. I hope you don't miss Carrie too much, I don't think she will last long here. She's worse than I thought she would be. Whatever, if I kill her it's your loss not mine. You might want to tell Cameron Faulkner to watch his back and yours too. I will strike soon, my dear.

I caught Cameron's gaze, motioning for him to come here with my index finger. He looked at his friends and went to tell them something. Just then, Rob came up to me.

Rob and I were friends until the end of sophomore year. He bitched me out because I never talked to him. Whatever. I could tell by the look in his eye that he would say something to piss me off.

"Long time no see, huh, Hannah?"His voice dripped of threatening venom.

"I have somewhere to be, if you don't mind." I retorted.

I bumped into him on "accident" which pushed his temper limit. He grabbed my arm and made me look at him.

"Excuse me, missy?"

"Let go of me right now Rob. I have somewhere to go."I got in his face, letting my bitch side out.

He slammed me into the lockers. Hard. I held back a scream dating to leave my lips. Something suddenly stung my cheek and lips. It hit me, Rob just slapped me. Oh it is on now.

Rob covered my feet with his and held my wrists against the wall. I struggled to get loose as a crowd began to form. All eyes were on me waiting for my next move. I licked my lips and tasted blood. He split my bottom lip.

I felt his hot breath against my ear as he whispered words of hatred toward me. He removed his hand from my right wrist reaching up to move the hair out of my eye. I took advantage of his mistake, aiming a punch for his jaw. And I struck. Pushing him off me and onto the floor, I rushed out of the area with eyes voting in toy back and pain shooting up my spine.

Cameron was standing outside with his gang, talking and laughing. Changing my mind at the last minute, I decided not to tell him til tomorrow. His eyes caught me though, and he began to walk towards me. I gulped when Rob came raging out of the school. If smoke could come out his ears, he would look like he had smoke houses in his ears.

My keys slipped out of my hands as I pulled them out, but someone caught them. Cameron's piercing gold hazel eyes met mine but flickered to my lips. I muttered a thank-you then opened my car door.

"Did you want to talk to me?" He asked with a soft voice.

I glanced over to see Rob almost here.

"Later, I don't want to deal with him now. Tomorrow?" I offered with trembling hands.

"HANNAH FOUST I SWEAR TO GOD I AM GOING TO KILL YOUR ASS FOR THAT! "Rob yelled.

Cameron clenched his fists when he said "kill". I didn't know what to do. So I stood there like a deer in headlights.

"Touch her and I will promise to make you suffer. Go Robert, you aren't needed here."Cameron's eyes flashed for me for a second.

"Wait until tomorrow, ass! I will make you pay!"Rob walked off with a death glare.

"Did he do that to you?"

"I'm not worried about that now. Yes, he did. Is this a joke? Care to explain?"I gave him my phone with the mystery message.

"Do you want to talk about it later tonight? Your place?"He seemed shocked.

I nodded and gave him my number. I drove off with blood dripping down my chin.
