As I walked back from sending Cameron to the nurse, everyone who was there remained in their spots. They all moved out of my and someone else's way that led straight ahead. Figuring it was another meer pupil despite the current situation, I continued on my way. As I got closer, I soon realized Rob was at the other end.
When I put the pieces together, my posture went from average to confident. I was hoping for Cameron to hurry so we could leave. Instead of opening my locker, I came face to face with Rob. He was about to say something. Then he stopped.
Cameron popped up next to us, observing the scene. Rob and I were face-to-face, nearly touching because we were so close. The only reason I closed the space between us so if I told him off, it would have a greater effect.
"So you finally got your act together? Too bad it took you so long."I remark first."You could've been a good guy, maybe a good boyfriend. Too bad you just ruined it though."
"Whatever. You have a preppy ass boyfriend, so why bother? You never talk to me anyway like I'm a shame."Real hurt crossed his eyes.
"You weren't though. Until you hurt me. Then you became a burden. Never talk to me again, Robert. Or Cameron or so help me God I will-"A teacher cut me off.
"You will not hurt Robert in anyway, Hannah Foust."Mr. Haller demanded. I rolled my eyes at him and began to open my locker.
"Nice ass Foust."Rob muttered under his breath.
I turned to face him. I was seeing bloody red. He will pay for that.
"Now you're checking me out, huh? Check this out."I hit him square in the jaw, watching him being taken by surprise from my outburst.
Mr.Haller looked at me with wide eyes. I smirked with relief that I finally gave him what he deserved.
"You will be disciplined for that missy."Mr.Haller hissed at me.
"Not if you can't catch me, buddy!"I hollered over my shoulder, walking away completely.
Cameron followed me out, hot on my heels. I sat in the drivers seat and looked up at Cameron. He had one arm on the roof of my car and the other on my door. He was leaning down to get a better view of me.
"Hannah."The words left his lips quietly, barely loud enough to hear him,"You're a target. You just can't tempt vampires like that, you'll get bitten and I can't always be their to protect you. Do you understand that, Hannah?"
I looked into his eyes a little longer until I answered."Yeah."
"I'll see you in a half hour."

Ding!
He's here, here goes nothing.
I opened the door, inviting Cameron and Lenny inside. Kevin greeted Lenny and Cameron as if they were long lost friends. Or mostly Lenny, Cameron I could say got the "cold shoulder". Maybe because he came over the other day. Or possibly he's just being an overprotective brother again.
Kevin motioned for me to approach him for a talk. Privately. He pulled me down the hall and by the back doors.
"Why are they here? I'd like an explanation, Hannah."
"When Dad gets home, we'll spill. Can you wait a few minutes? You won't die, Kevin."I walked away from him, rejoining the two brothers.
"A few more minutes he should be home."My voice echoed through the house like a siren.
"My mom said its OK. But she wants to meet Derek before we leave."Cameron replied.
"I don't think my brother likes not knowing our little plan, Cameron. He's not exactly happy with me. What if he says no? And then I'd be screwed."I lowered my voice dramatically.
"We can always go, Hannah. It's going to be fine. It would probably keep you safer anyways. You really want to go though, don't you?"Lenny added in, mimicking my volume.
"I need to go. I'm partially responsible for this."
"No you are not. This has Aaron's name written all over it. You are not responsible for any of this."Cameron put his head in his hands with his elbows on his knees.
"I'm home!!!"Dad's voice rang through the house.
"What's going on here?"He asked when he saw Lenny, Cameron and I sitting talking.
"I'd love to know too."Kevin came back into the room, his arms crossed over his chest. His jaw was clenched.
Then Cameron told them everything. Every single detail. Kevin seemed to tense up even more, especially at Aaron's name. He probably knew something that we don't. Dad stood in complete shock the entire time. When Lenny suggested him, Cameron, Kevin and I all go together to wherever our first destination is. Dad didn't disagree, nor agree.
"I need to know if I can go or not, Dad."
He looked at us all in the eyes when he answered.
"No."
