"Hey."Cole greeted me when I arrived at the lobby.
"Hey."I muttered back.
"Is everything taken care of?"He sat down across from me.
"Yes and no. Aaron and Leah, yeah. We got another problem though. Cameron and I aren't supposed to be near each other."
"What does that mean?"He gives me a dull look.
"Something called The Crave."
His eyes flew open, shocked. I waited for him to respond to my statement. The police brought out Aaron and Leah in cuffs, both flanked with additional officers. Cole and I stared at them as they were escorted to the cop cars.
"Cameron has The Crave, for you?"Cole confirmed fearfully.
"Yeah."
"Fuck."Cole cussed.
"What?"
"That means we should get going. So I'll have to go back with you. I hope my Mom is in for surprises."Cole stood up.
"Don't you live here though."
"Yeah. We can't let you go home alone, but Lenny can't leave Cameron alone or with a human. It's too dangerous."
"OK. Wait til all the girls at my school start drooling over you."I smirked, thinking of May and Nicole.
"I'll only be drooling over one person."
I cut him off."If you say me I will kick you."
"I was going to say my reflection but I could drool over you too."He winked playfully.
I kicked his shin. Him, drooling over me. Yes, please! While Cameron and Lenny are gone, maybe I could hit it off with Cole.
"When do want to leave?"
"A.S.A.P."I responded quickly.
"I could grab your stuff and we could go tonight maybe?"
"Yeah."I sent him a smile then pulled out my phone.
As Cole left me, I grabbed a phone book from the front desk then found the local number for the police department. I brought up the topic of interrogatories and when I could schedule one. The lady said an officer would be here soon. I hung up then returned to the recliner I was seated in.
About ten minutes later, a man in a white Polo and khaki pants walked in with a clipboard in his hands. He gazed around the room until approaching me.
"Are you the interrogator?"
"Yes."He nods his head,"I'm Garret. You must be Hannah."
Garret holds out his hand and I shake it then place it in my pocket.
"So this might take a while."Garret is filing through paperwork hastily.
"That's fine."
"OK. What is your relationship with Aaron Rusher like?"
"I hate him. He thinks I'm his soul mate or something. I absolutely despise him."
"How about your relationship with Leah Waters?"
"I don't think I've ever hated anyone more. Him and Aaron, I hate them equally."
"When did you first come into contact with Aaron?"
