Me and Finn have barely been out on a date since the shooting.
We've done a few, but not a healthy amount. Whenever we are in a date mood and make plans, one of our anxieties will flare up the morning of and we both cancel it out just to stay home and watch the same childish movies in the entertainment center we can find. But tonight we decided enough was enough. A student from Vocal Adrenaline is hosting a show choir party for everyone who's competed out of the Lima area. No fights, no arguments, no tension, just a night taking a break from practice for Regionals (well, for the teams who actually made it....).
Finn's nerves got more the best of him, so I was finished before he was getting ready and i patiently waited for him at the front door near the steps and smiled seeing him finally come down in his 90's themed clothing to match the theme of the party. "Shouldn't it be the other way around, where I wait at the bottom of the steps for you?" He questioned reaching the bottom of the staircase and pecking me on the lips. "Alright you two, you know the rules for tonight. Curfew at midnight, unless dinner takes a while, check in with me at the top of the hour, and if you need me to come get you guys, just let me know." Carol smiled. She gave me a kiss on the cheek and pulled Finn's head down to her level to give on to his forehead and we were finally out the door.

You could tell which house had the party happening at it, considering all the lights were on and all the cars flooded the roads along with people walking from their car to the house. "Do you think this is a good idea? I mean one of the members of our competition is hosting this arty and about three fourths of the glee club are gonna drink, so what if they try to ring us of what we are doing?" I questioned latching to Finn's arm and walking down the sidewalk. "I wouldn't worry about it. I mean we've practiced so many times that we are tired of talking about it, so it shouldn't be a problem." He held me a little tighter walking to the house. The lawn was scattered with what seemed like a movie scene of drunk people or heavy partyers. Me and Finn looked at each other grinning knowing we were gonna have a good time.
Both: Another night I feel barely alive. Maybe the side chain kick drum gets me high. Last thing I should be doing, but I keep doing it again and again. Lately been thinking maybe the beat will save me from all of my friends.
We walked inside the house and Finn and I's chest were slammed with a shot glass. Out of nowhere, I look up and Finn has already downed it. I looked at him in confusion and he shrugged while I gave the shot glass back. Finn swore he'd never drink again, what is he doing? We started pushing past everyone, girls making out, people grinding, some smoking some sort of drug.
Everyone: How you feeling?!
Both: Heartbroken and jonesing for a nicotine rush like a sad and lonely lush, alright.
We were forced into the middle of the room and caught up into the crazy dancing. Finn started to go along with it and it took me a minute to finally just let go.
Everyone: How you feeling?!
Both: Three shots in and hoping I'm not letting you down cause I don't do well in crowds, alright. Drown it out. Turn it out
Finn was grabbed by Sam and some other big dudes and pushed to the keg stand where he waved his hands as a no, and then finally he mouthed "fuck it" and they surprisingly lifted him and he began chugging from the tube and I felt awful as the smell of alcohol loomed into my nose.
Everyone: So tell me, how you feeling?
Both: I'm feeling, I'm feeling, I'm feeling I'm feeling alright, alright
I started to get separated from Finn and ended up heading down into the basement where it was just as worst as upstairs.
Both: I'm dancing reckless but it's all a lie. Don't have the patience to even say goodbye. Last thing I should be doing, but I keep doing it again and again. Lately been thinking maybe the beat will save me from all of my friends
I recognized Santana and Brittany right of the bat furiously making out on a bed while everyone partied around them. There was a deck in the basement since the house sat on a hill and I squeezed my way through, being grabbed by some people to come party but shrugging them off to escape. I found my way into another dance circle and just didn't care at this point. C'mon, it's a party Camila, just have fun.

The party didn't dial down from there, more so it got worst. Everyone was either buzzed or drunk, and though I laughed my ass off at the Glee kids, I was more worried about Finn. I hadn't seen him in around and hour since we go separated and every time I got up to go find him, someone around me would need something or take me dancing instead. I managed to break free and find my way to the top of the backyard where it drifted down a hill that people were sliding on. There was a boy sitting in a fold out chair giggling at everyone, so I decided to sit and scan the backyard instead. He noticed my presence and smiled, a tall guy, not as tall as Finn though, with his hair buzzed with soft tiny curls and a fun posture.
"I haven't been able to find the host of this party, but I could only imagine how he's like!" I yelled over the pounding music in our ears. "That would be me!" He chuckled. "Oh! I didn't mean that in a bad way!" I immediately apologized. "No it's okay, I totally get what you mean! My name is Prince!" He put his hand over the table. "Camila! I'm from The New Directions!" "Oh I know you! You're a serious star! Kicking some real ass with those pipes." He smiled widely. We ended up conversing a little while until Sam sluggishly came and found me because everyone thought I left. "Hey Camila you might, uh, wannnnnnnna get your boyfriend. He- He- He" Sam started chuckling at his slurring. "He's realllllly fucking drunk. Like MAJOR drunkie." I frowned at Prince wanting to talk to him more but I'm not going to let Finn stay here any longer. "Hey can I follow you on Instagram to try to talk to you?! My boyfriend is just-" "Yeah!" He smiled and he followed himself off of my phone.
As I turned to walk away, Prince stopped my quickly. "Make sure you dm me tonight, I've got something for you." He grinned in a bright way.
I honestly look so ugly right now, but my wifi got shut off for other reasons two months ago and I'm literally so damn sorry but I am back and going to finish this damn book!
