"What?" Hera froze, sure she had misheard what Kanan had just said. The caff cup she had been holding in her right hand fell to the ground, fragmenting into a hundred different shards. She ignored the mess she had made, and stared at the Jedi Master.
"I mean- I'm pretty positive." Kanan didn't know how to explain what he had just sensed to the twil'lek. "I felt her presence somewhere in this Galaxy... I couldn't exactly place a finger on the location. I know that she's somewhere out there though. At least, that's what the force is telling me.." the man trailed off.
Hera sighed, and sat down on the seat next to Kanan. "This is jedi stuff, isn't it?" The blind Jedi nodded slowly. "Are you completely sure that what you feel- this sensation- is real?" She needed to know.
Kanan shrugged solemnly. "No matter how powerful one gets in the force, they can never COMPLETELY understand it. But yes, I'm almost completely certain that this is Sabine." He finished saying. Hera registered all the information and she felt the urge to throw up.
Accepting that Sabine was dead was heartbreaking enough. Knowing that there was a possibility that she was alive and possibly incredibly injured , but not being able to do anything was one hundred times worse.
There was dead silence in the room. The roaring thunder from outside just made the enviornment more depressing.
"Well what do we do?" Kanan spoke out, asking the obvious. He turned his head sideways to Hera, his blind eyes almost "staring" at her.
Hera felt hot tears prick her eyes. "What can we do?" She answered miserably. "Even if she WAS alive, which is nearly impossible, what then? We have absolutely no clue where she would be. We don't even know if she's in this Galaxy!"
The father exhaled slowly and mournfully, knowing that she was right. "Do we- Will we tell the others?" He inquired her.
Hera shook her head, tears coming at full force this time. "No." She whispered, leaning her head on Kanan's chest for comfort. "It would be a wild meiluroon chase. We could never find her, even if we had the whole entire rebellion search the Galaxy. And it would be unfair." She gestured towards Ezra's room, where the door was locked and a heartbroken boy was inside of it. "You think he's broken now? Just wait until
you tell him that the love of his life might be alive, give him false hope and meaning, and then the whole thing comes crashing down..." She couldn't go on any longer, breaking down next to Kanan.
"Nothing can EVER fix what has happened. Nothing"

Sabine sat up and stared at the girl. "What-what am I supposed to do?" She asked, dreading the answer.
The girl looked at her with sad, empty eyes. "Isn't it obvious?" She softly croaked. Sabine had to strain her ears to hear her. "You build weapons here." She gestured to the equipment surrounding them. "Weapons to help the empire."
Sabine's stomach churned, thinking about the Duchess. Never in her life would she go back to doing that. "I'm not going to." She responded boldly.
The girl shook her head, as if she had heard this before. "It's not as easy as that." She clutched the wrench in her bony hand more tightly.
Before Sabine could ask her to explain more, an imperial agent waltzed into the room, obviously there to check on their progress.
"Get up!" He sneered at Sabine. "And get to work! You're only alive because of your skills, you know. If you had just been a rebellion solider, we would have executed you in seconds."
Sabine glared at the man. "I would rather die than make weapons for you kriffing slimos!" She spat back.
"That can easily be arranged!"The agent seethed angrily, reached for his blaster and aimed it at the rebel. But then he thought for a moment, and yanked the mysterious girl by the shoulder.
Sabine watched helplessly as the man pressed the weapon against her cellmate's temples. "Please," She begged. "No.."
"See? You have a choice to make." He chuckled, enjoying the sight of the rebel beg for mercy. "When you resist, someone suffers for it."
"Fine!" Sabine cried out, not wanting anyone innocent dead because of her. "I'll-I'll do it.." she complied, her voice quieter.
The man smirked and through the fellow prisoner to the ground. Sabine offered the girl a hand for help, which she used. "That's the thing with you rebel scum." He jeered. "You're more than happy to die yourselves but when others are in danger, you go leaps and bounds out of your way to save them. Now, I want progress. Just because I spared your- errr- friend's life today doesn't mean I won't in the future. And who knows? Maybe next time you'll meet your demise with her." With that, the imperial straightened out his suit, and exited the work space.
"You didn't have to do that." The girl whispered to Sabine. "You didn't have to save me..."
Sabine placed a hand of reassurance on the girl's shoulder. "Its okay. It's kind of what I do." She insisted. "Well at least what I used to do, before I ended in this dump."
Her fellow captive nodded and without a word powered on the machines.
As Sabine got up, questions whirled around in her head.
Could there be a way to infiltrate the weapons without being caught?
How long could she hide her lies from the enemy?
And who was this mystery girl?
