A few months later...

Sabine stared at her reflection in the mirror, barely recognizing the  beautiful young woman peering back at her. She ran her fingers through her phoenix colored hair, careful not to misplace the exotic white flowers that had been carefully put into her hair. Earrings that once belonged to her mother, ones she had stuffed in a drawer for years, now dangled from her ears. They sparkled in the dim light of her cabin.

The gown she was wearing was one that she had designed herself. It was a creamy white color, and went all the way down to her ankles. The top was simple, sleeveless with a tiny rebellion symbol embroidered on the heart. Her skirt touched the floor, and splatters of orange and light pink paint gave it an artsy feel. In her opinion, it was the most beautiful dress in the galaxy. Perfect for a bride.

The mando smiled, fingering the engagement ring on her finger. It had been one of the best days of her life when Ezra gave it to her. He hadn't gotten down on one knee, oh no. That was not the way, he, the great Ezra Bridger, asked people to marry him.

Instead, the huge dork actually jammed it up her spray paint gun. Sabine had been utterly confused and frustrated when it wasn't working. Anyone who messed with her art supplies messed with her. If she hadn't been so deliriously happy with joy when she dismantled it, she would've socked him for sure.

Sabine stared down at the scars that she had gained from her time in the imperial prison. She had regained back her healthy weight (thanks to Zeb's supply  of space waffles), dyed her hair, and was beginning to look like herself before... everything. But the scars were constant reminders of what had happened a short time ago.

It was incredibly hard to forget the terror she had been through. The ex-captive still felt guilty for taking part in the killing of those two young men. No matter how hard others tried to convince her that it wasn't her fault, she knew that she was responsible. After all, it was she who had dropped the controller and stimulated it to turn on.

And Ezra understood what she was going through. After all, he had his own share of scars and traumatic experiences that she couldn't even begin to imagine. Often times, after one of them had a nightmare, (which was pretty much every night,) they would take midnight walks. During these walks, they would talk to get their mind off of things, hold hands, or just wander in the dark in silence, just enjoying each other's presence.

Sabine thought that she had been hopelessly in love with the young Jedi before. It was nothing compared to how she felt now. No one had ever told her that there was no limit to love. Asking her to describe how she felt for Ezra was like asking an artist what had inspired them to draw. Both would go on rants of their adoration, not making sense to anyone around them. At least, that was what she thought

There was a feeble knock at the door outside her cabin. "Come in," She called out, turning towards the entrance of her quarters. There stood CeCe, still in Ezra's old orange jumpsuit. Her thin frame leaned against the door, her hair a mess and dirt streaked on her face.

"CeCe, where were you?" The bride chided gently. "We were all looking for you. Don't go disappear without telling me."

The young girl turned red with embarrassment. "I'm sorry." She mumbled, while reaching into one of the many pockets of her outfit. She fumbled with the items she had stored in them before finding what she was looking for. She revealed a beautiful bouquet of multicolored wildflowers. Complete with a tie-died bow wrapped around them. "I went to go pick these in the forest this morning. I thought that you might like these. You really look beautiful in your dress." She added shyly.

Sabine took the bouquet carefully, and squeezed CeCe, not caring if she got a little dirt on her dress. "I love it." She exclaimed, genuinely meaning it. "Just tell me where you're going next time, okay?" CeCe managed a small smile and nodded, before freezing in place.
