Yes, I'm alive, if anyone cares to know. Haven't updated since Tuesday. Jeez.
I'm gonna be honest with you guys. I was really discouraged about what some of you said about the last chapter. How I was "going on with this book too long" or to just "rescue her already." It seemed negative and not gonna lie, it hit me hard. I work on each and every chapter thoroughly, trying to the best I can do. I want to develop each of the characters, and do the best job of writing that I possibly can. I don't only make these fics for fun. They improve my writing skills and that helps me in middle school.
Reading those comments on the last chapter was hard. I had already started to have a crummy day, and it made me anxious about the next part and what I was going to do. Hence the reason I have failed to update recently.
You don't like the idea that a character isn't yanked out of a dangerous situation by her loved ones? That she has to find her own way out of the mess that she's in? You hate that this whole thing is a process?
Well I'm sorry but this is how I decide to write my stories. Because sometimes, not everything can go smooth and easy as cupcakes and butterflies. In most Sabezra fics, the biggest problem is that Wedge is trying to hit on Sabine and Ezra is jealous, blablabla. Not saying that those books are the worst but they just don't really appeal to me.
So instead of writing a highschool girl's drama, I'm writing my own version of a relationship that's extremely complicated and heartbreaking. There's ups and downs (mostly downs) . It's a story of overcoming the most challenging adversities in life, and still being able to go on. And if you're just wanting to see the two get back together again, have daily kisses, cuddles, and hot cocoa, and not really caring about the storyline, then this book isn't for you. Because this isn't just about Sabezra. It's about others around them too, and THEIR struggles, and THEIR challenges.
Don't worry, this book will end sooner rather than later because I already have an idea for another one I plan to write.
Updates start again regularly tomorrow. I shall continue the book the way I want and I don't care what others say. Because if at least one person is happy about my story, then that's what I'll do. Work my butt off to get a chapter up there each day. So that one reader can enjoy it.
Ok thats the end of my rant. Phew.
I have already started to type up the next chapter but dont have time to finish it before I go to bed. I have put a lot of thought into what will happen next, so I hope a few of you can appreciate it. To be honest, I'm excited for what will happen next.
