By mid afternoon Karen was at Stevie's. Karen let's herself in and and walks into Stevie and Lindsey snuggling together on the couch drinking their coffee.

"Am I interrupting?" Karen grinned.

"No," Stevie hopped up from the couch to talk to her. "I have to tell you something," she somewhat mouthed.

"Lindsey, can I borrow her real quick?"

"Go for it, make sure you return her," he smiled.

"Okay, let's go."

They made it  outside for a moment and stopped in front of Karen's car.

"What's up?" Karen asked.

"Two little things..." Stevie said "I was wondering if you could go to the store and get some groceries?"

"Yeah, that should be fine. What else?" Karen took the small list from Stevie.

"Lucy is your cousin---I need you to call her and ask her if there is anything she wants from the market."

"Okay," Karen laughed. "I shall call 'my cousin' then."

"Yep," Stevie paused. "This is horrible."

"I know."

"Oh! and guess what!" Stevie put her hands on her hips.

"What?"

"Lucy thinks that I am seeing Lindsey."

"Aren't you?" Karen asked in confusion.

"Well yeah... I guess... no... I don't know." Stevie's posture fell into a slump. "I really don't know what we are doing." she complained. "You know what he asked me last night? he asked to start over and I told him I didn't know if that was a good idea and then me the dumb-ass, was caught up in the moment of pleasure--"

"TMI!" Karen stopped her.

"Sorry," Stevie continued. "Well, I agreed and I just don't know if it's smart now."

"Did you guys talk about it?"

"Not really, not yet," she shook her head.

"Well, just stay calm and take it slow," Karen advised.

"Yeah... ugh!" Stevie took a breath. "Make sure your cousin doesn't know she is your cousin and try to keep her from here for a while. Don't forget to call her," she started to head back into the house while Karen took off.

Stevie walked in and shut the door behind her---making sure to lock it.

"Since when do you lock doors?" Lindsey asked.

"Since I was half naked, pouring scotch and Karen came in last night," Stevie rolled her eyes.

"Oh yeah," Lindsey chuckled. He patted the seat for her to join him again and she makes her way over plopping next to him.

Stevie kissed him on the lips, long and hard and she pulled away before their fire ignited.

"What?" he asked her.

"What are we doing?" she let her hands fall onto her thighs.

"We are kissing," he tried to be cute and come at her again.

She smiled. "Linds, really what are we doing? what is this 'us' we hope to create? I mean, if it didn't work out the first time around, why do we think it could work again?" she brought up a valid point.

"Honey, don't stress about it. Back then things were different and now..." he came closer to her.

"Lindsey, how different can we be? I mean, we are the same people."
