After Lindsey had gotten ready and gone to the studio, Stevie was left in bed. She threw a robe on, but she was pretty upset. She was just hoping the worst wouldn't come from what she did. It was a mindless stupid thing that happened because, she would never pair herself with Mick. It wasn't ideal---she just didn't love him, not the way she loved Lindsey at least. He was only convenience back in the day when she was sad and, oddly it was convenient for him to take advantage since she was so messed up in her mind. She had also been on Klonopin to make things worse.

Some time in the afternoon, Stevie pried herself from the bed to at least put proper clothing on. She wanted to at least be covered when her daughter got back.

Pretty soon, a knock filled her ears and she was upset by it. She did not want to see a single soul unless it was Lindsey, but she knew she would have to regardless.

She got up and made her way down the stairs, to open the front door. When she did, she turned back around. It was only Karen.

"Nice to see you too," Karen smirked as she shut the front door and followed her boss to the kitchen.

Stevie turned and flashed a look of annoyance.

"So what happened with you and Lindsey? I could tell you told him," she seated herself in the bar stool.

"I'm sorry, what does this face tell you?" Stevie turned.

"Hey, I don't want you to get mad at me if I guess."

"I'm sorry," she sighed. "He left and he did so without saying a word---" she turned back to what she was doing and that was pouring a glass of wine. "He had every right---it just hurts."

"I get it---you're upset and I wanna help you."

"I appreciate it, Karen---" she turned a faced her assistant. She took a sip and would take a minute to breathe.

"Uh... Boss? It is---" she looked down at her watch, "it is nine-thirty in the morning."

"And...?" Stevie pushed her hair out of the way.

"And..." she mocked. "Is that the smartest breakfast decision you have ever made?"

"Back in the day it was a line of coke, vodka from the night before and pot," she winked. "I'll survive---" she rose the glass for a silent cheers and took a gulp.

"Sounds good," Karen abided and took her defense down.

Meanwhile, Lindsey was driving around. He had a million thoughts running through his mind and he didn't even know what to do. He was so mad, but he was so in love with Stevie at the same time. Did she not love him? He would never know that for sure. No matter how much they played around with one another and made stupid jokes---he loved her and he knew she loved him. How could he know for sure or not she loved him? Things had been going so well, even before her accident. He really just wanted to know what led to it. He needed to know.

Arriving to the studio, he stayed in his car for a few minutes. He had no business at the studio at all---he was just there to be away from home. Normally it was his safe haven and he would often play guitar to ease his mind. Today was one of those days so he abided by his original plans.

As time passed by, he started to actually clear his head and think properly. He was trying to think of ways to be calm and believe it was a one time thing. It was after all just a kiss and she did kiss everybody. He was also thinking of all the times they made love and they confessed deeper feelings toward one another. He knew that wasn't just a fluke... How could it be?

He soon pulled his cell phone out and dialed a number he knew by heart.

"Hello?" Lucy answered.
