"Do you think they took the food?" Stevie asked.
"I don't know," Karen chuckled.
Stevie kind of looked out her window.
"What's up?" Karen asked.
"All of this," she shook her head. "This whole situation I have created," she sighed.
Karen didn't really know what to say without saying words that have already been said. "Stevie, you have to relax. It's all over. The tour is finally starting up, Lucy is going back to school and Lindsey is home. This is what you've been trying to get passed and you did."
Stevie nodded.
"What are you still so worried about?"
"I don't know," she shrugged. "I just have a weird feeling," she said, truthfully.
The rest of the car ride ended up with Stevie writing strenuously in her journal and Karen typing and sending emails from her iPhone.
"What is that noise?" Stevie's eyes slowly made their way to Karen's typing fingers.
"What?" Karen paused and looked up at her boss.
"That clicking noise."
"This?" Karen typed randomly to make sure.
"Yes, that," Stevie paused and Karen giggled. "What the hell is that?"
"The keyboard."
"Oh..." she lingered. "Can you make it not make that noise?"
"Sure---is it bothering you?"
"Immensely," she answered---raising an eyebrow.
"Okay," Karen smiled---flipping the little switch to silent.
When they finally made it to the plane, Stevie would take a nap for the short time they'd be flying. They were also met by her band.
"So, Steves? Tell me, why are you playing in California last?" Lori asked.
"So we end up home for the last show," she responded.
Lori nodded, because she had never seen her sister in-law tour that way.
"So, what's been going on at your house?" Sharon leaned in little more.
"So much shit, I can't even think straight," Stevie semi chuckled, but it seemed like tears wanted to fall instead.
"Awe, what happened?" Sharon took Stevie's hand between hers.
Stevie confided in her best friends and told them everything. She was gonna nap but she felt telling them what was going on was more important. She told them from what happened after the party---without getting detailed. The flight seemed to fly by with all the talking they did. By mid afternoon they got to the hotel and Karen helped bring Stevie's bags.
"Need anything before I go?" Karen asked.
"A drink," Stevie kind of chuckled. "But it's okay---the girls and I will probably go down for one."
"Alright," Karen smiled---leaving her boss alone.
Stevie collapsed on the bed and kind of sprawled out lazily. She stared at the ceiling for a while then growled when she heard a knock on her door. "Come in!"
"Do you always let strangers in?" a male's voice filled her ears and a light thump from his bag hitting the floor right after.
Stevie shot her head up hearing the familiar voice. "Hey baby?" she beamed she wrapped her arms around Lindsey---whom was caressing his body against hers. "What are you doing here?"
