Over the next few weeks, the small family of four would go about their daily tasks and just hang out. Stevie and Lucy were doing a lot of baby shopping. Only her and her mother knew the gender of the baby and that was just to keep Lindsey and Elijah on their toes about it. Lucy documented everything that she felt in her journal. She was very excited about her baby and she was so happy with life she was living. She---much like her mom, was very in the know of what was going on. They both thought that things were too perfect and something was going to be crashing down on them soon. They tried to stay optimistic---Lucy for the sake of her unborn baby and Stevie for the same reason along with keeping her husband in check. She knew if she was worried, Lindsey would surely do the same.

"We can only shop for a little bit, Karen has to drop me off with Margi and then she'll take you home," Stevie told her daughter.
"That's fine, I only want the dressers today. We have so many clothes and diapers and all that jazz, but nothing to store it in," Lucy obliged.
"Alright, Karen is waiting in the car, let's go sweetheart," she gently ushered her daughter down the stairs and through the foyer.
When they made it to the courtyard, Karen was patiently waiting for her boss and niece, even though were in a slight time crunch.
"Ready?" Karen asked as she looked over her sunglasses. They were resting on the tip of her nose as she waited.
Stevie kind of nodded as she helped Lucy settle comfortably in the backseat of the SUV. Soon after, she was getting in the front and pulling her seatbelt on.
"What's the plan?" Karen asked as she pulled around the fountain and out the other end of the gate.
"Just to get some dressers for the baby. Right after, you can drop me with Margi," Stevie said.
"Do you need me to go with you for that?" she asked.
"No, I'm just messing with some costume ideas, so I can be ready for the next Mac tour," she answered.
"When are you and dad touring, mom?" Lucy asked.
"Next year, but I want everything ready now so that we're in good shape."
"Oh," she kind of nodded. She'd not known her mother to be so orderly, so it must have been brought on by her dad.
"Anyway right after, Karen can bring you home and you hang out with the boys. I'll be home later tonight," she finally concluded her day's plan aloud.
Pretty soon, the trio of women would get off to look at the baby dresser and they were looking for one that would match the crib they had gotten a couple weeks ago. Stevie had already gotten a basinet, when she found out. She had been so excited as was Lindsey. This week, Lindsey and Elijah would be painting the nursery. They went for a light yellow and Lindsey would stencil some baby elephants on the wall. He was just as excited and Stevie thought it was the cutest thing in the world.
"Alright do we see one you like?" Stevie asked her daughter. They'd been in the store for a while at that point. They had a little time to mess around as per Karen's scheduling for her boss. She knew that even on a tight schedule, she couldn't get her boss to go faster, so elongating her day was the way to go.
"I do," Lucy kind of beamed. She had her eyes on a pretty plain dresser and it was brownish-red frame. The drawers were clear, but fogged and they had nice vintage handles. She kind of pointed it out to her mom.
"I had feeling that was the one you were looking out," Stevie let off light chuckle with a wide smile. She wrapped her arms around her daughter from behind and kissed the side of her head.
