First I would like to give a big thanks to all my readers and voters! I love reading your comments. Here's the new chapter.

Chapter Five

-------------------

"Here are your meals, please enjoy," I said as I laid the plates down onto the table. The couple who were seated in the small booth smiled as they thanked me for their food. I nodded and made my was back to the kitchen, though having to pour four more glasses of coke for a family.

"I need two Mushroom Swiss Burgers," I yelled into the kitchen.

"I got it! Here," Lucy replied handing me two plates. Two months ago Lucy and I had begun working together at Chiles, deciding we really needed some extra cash. I had promoted from cook to server slash host. It was a good thing too since I was kind of a bad cook.

I took the two plates and pushed open the kitchen door with my back.

"Wheres the table?" I asked the waiter standing by the door. He was a bit busy and had asked if I could handle a bit of orders for him for a couple minutes. He pointed to the fourth table down. I nodded and made my way down the tiny aisle.

Setting down the two plates, I said, "Here are your two Mushroom Sw- Kevin?" I gaped at who could only unmistakeably be Kevin. Lovette sat across from him giving me a full on glare for whatever reason, I did not know of.

"Hey Fallon, you work here?" I nodded, suddenly distracted by Lovette. Momentarily, she wasn't glaring at me for once. Instead, I watched her as she hesitantly plucked a frie from her plate. She stared at it for a long moment, then cringed. She released and it fell back down on the plate with a small thud. Kevin gave her a scowl and a disapproving look as she pushed the plate further away from her.

"She's a little health conscious," Kevin told me, probably answering the bewilderment on my face. I nodded. Should have realized it anyway. To have a body like hers it had to take a lot of work. I watched as he picked at his own burger.

"You too?"I asked. He looked confused. "Are you health conscious too?"

"Um, yeah. A little I guess."

"Do you guys want a salad or something instead?" I frowned as I glanced between their drinks. The glasses were completely full, as if they hadn't even been touched. "Or a different drink if your prefer or something..." He shook his head.

"I guess we're just not really hungry."

"Oh, okay. I noticed that the manager gave me a look as he passed by me. Right, no convos with the customers. Serve, help, leave. "Do you want to take this to go? I can-"

"Sit down would you?" Lovette asked in her light musical voice. Out of surprise and astonishment I saw down almost involuntary. There was something so powerful in her voice and commanding that made me sit down too. But why would she want me to sit down. "Why don't you come over for dinner at our house? It's much better than this..." Lovette paused as she glanced down at her meal, "stuff." My eyes widened. Why would she want me to come over. I though she hated me. Oh well, I wasn't always one to keep a grudge.

"Sure Lovette," I told her as she looked me in the eyes. She gave me a small weak smile that looked like it was taking her a lot of energy.

"Of course Fall. By the way, just call me Love. I prefer it that way." I nodded.

"Sure, um, Love."
