He Looks Like a God, But is he One Too? Chapter Six

Chapter Six

The doorbell echoed throughout the house as I quickly rang it. I quickly retracted my finger as if the door bell was on fire. Why had I come to this house again? Oh right. Lovette- I mean Love had invited me over. Maybe she was over being mad at me for whatever reason and wanted to be friends.

Confused is what I had been feeling as to what I had been deciding to wear while getting dressed before coming over. What did you wear to the house of the girl who hated you and suddenly invited you over and is the brother to the guy you think you kind of like and hope that he likes you back?

I had decided on wearing a red dress that fluttered around my thighs and stopped at the knee. Suddenly, the door opened up.

Lovette stood there in the entryway of the door looking as glorious as ever. She wore a shoulderless cream colored dress. It slimmed from the top to mid thigh where it seemed to pop out just like a meremaid dress. And she did look like a mermaid, or rather like a goddes born from the water.

"Hello Fall, come in won't you?" she said opening the door wider for me. I nodded and stepped inside. A chandillier hung overhead on the ceiling which were about 35 feet above the ground.

"Wow, this place is beautiful," I breathed.

"Thanks," Lovette answered already turning around and heading for a hallway. I went to follow after her. The hallway led to a large dining room. A long rectangular glass table combined with eight chairs stood in the center of the room.

"There you are Apphy," someone said as we headed further into the room. I glanced over and found it had been Kevin who was speaking. I gasped as my eyes took him in. He was shirtless and only wearing a pair of dark colored jeans. His muscles were obvious as he walked towards us. "For the last time I told you to stop- Fallon?"

"Hey Kevin," I said with a little wave, still distracted by his upperbody. My eyes glanced over at his arms. I could imagine myself being held in them.

"Kevin? Oh right. Hey," he said with a small smile." I remembered you were coming over."

"If you remembered she was coming over couldn't you have remembered to at least put on a shirt?" Lovette complained. He shrugged. I peeled my eyes away from his body and nodded finally looking at his face.

"Hm, Why did you call Love, Apphy?" Keven opened his mouth but didn't answer, looking unsure of what he was going to say. Lovette was finally the one to speak.

"It's the nickname our dad uses when he speaks to me because he says my eyes are like the purest blue of the oceans. So he mixed the gems aquamarine and sapphire to make Apphy." I nodded "Anyways would you leave so that Fall and I can be alone?" Lovette asked Kevin.

"Did you make dinner?" he asked her. She nodded.

"I made a fresh bowl of salad." His eyes lit up. Hm, so he like salad. Then why didn't he eat any of his lunch?

"Did you also make your special sauce?" Specail sauce? Lovette frowned.

"Yes, I did, but you know I don't like it when other people use it. It's for me and me only."

"Fine, fine," Kevin said, holding his hands up in defeat. He gave me a quick small crooked smile. "See you later Fallon." I nodded in return as he made his way out of the room. "Call me if you need anything."

"Sorry for my borther," she said after he left. "I honestly don't know how we were born as twins. Anyway, take a seat and I'll go get the salad." I nodded and took a seat as she entered what I assumed to be the kitchen. Lovette came back with two bowls and put one in front of me. It was a salad drizzled with parmesean cheese and ranch sauce. I immediately dug in before my mouth could water.

"You must really like the salad," she said as my fork attacked the next layer of salad. I slowed down as I realized how much I had already eaten. "Do you eat like this all the time to keep fir?" I stuffed another forkful of salad into my mouth as I shook my head. I swallowed the mouthfull before I spoke.

"No, I'm not a big person on eating healthy to look, well, pretty. I just really actually like the food, because seriously, this salad taste amazing. And it just doesn't feel right to let bad things with lots of fat into my body." Lovette nodded as if she knew exactly what I was talking about. I glanced over at her salad and my eyebrows merged in confusion. "Hey Love, is that red sauce on your salad your 'special sauce'?" She nodded.

"Mm. Yep, it is. It makes the salad taste sweeter. But I'm not sharing," she added quickly. "And, um, I'm sorry by the way," she said, "About all those times I was ingnoring you and glaring. I guess it was because I was jealous."

"Of what?"

"Your beauty," she said as if it was the most obvious and casual thing in the world. "Your absolutely gorgeous and everyone who knows you knows it. I wish to be atleast half as pretty as you," she said with a sigh. So Kevin had been right.

"Are you kidding," I replied. "You are more than just half as pretty as me. Your way more beautiful. And I forgive you to by the way.

"Thanks," Lovette replied with a weak smile. "Thanks... Fallon."

After finishing our dinner, Lovette wanted to show me her bedroom. I followed as we made our way through yet another hallway. Finally finding her room, we stepped inside. The room was a bit cold and dark. The only light come from the windows in the far part of the room.

"Can you turn on the lights?" I asked Lovette. She didn't answer. Where was she? Suddenly, I tensed. Someones breath was on my ear. I craned my neck slightly to the right and saw a figure. It took me only a moment to realize who it was.

"Lovette..."

"I hate you," she hissed into my ear. Chills ran down my back. "And I'm going to kill you... slowly."
