Chapter Three

---------------------

"Beep. Beep. Beep." I groaned and turned my alarm clock off. I groggily peeled my eyes open and glanced at the clock. Ugh, time to get ready for school. Jumping out of bed I ran to my closet and picked out a cream colored sweater and dark jeans. I entered the bathroom and turned on the shower. After taking of my clothes I entered the shower and let the hot water wash away the stress of waking up in the morning.

After finishing the shower I pulled on my clothes and brushed my hair. I glanced at myself in the mirror. Wait, wouldn't Kevin be at school today. Hm. I decided to put my hair into a high ponytail and add one extra layer of lip gloss. There. Perfect. Exiting out of the bathroom I entered my room and grabbed my bag from the floor and sprinted down the stairs. The small of eggs and waffles immediately wafted toward me. Mm, Mom was making breakfast.

"Good Morning Fall," My mother said to me. I nodded in response, grabbing a waffle that just popped out from the toaster and took a bite. "Do you need a ride to school today?" I shook my head.

"Ashley's giving me a ride today. Oh there she is," I said glancing out the window. I spotted her yellow Ferrari in the driveway. "See you mom."

"Bye sweetie, have a nice day of school." I nodded and left out the door. Ashley was gesturing for me to hurry up and get in the car. I plucked open the passenger seat and hopped in.

"Woah, what's the rush?" I asked her. Ashley had a small devilish smile on her face. "What is it Ashley?"

"Fall, you know who we met last night will be going to our school today right?"

"Um, yeah?" I answered. How could I forget someone with a gorgeous face like that? I immediately blushed at the thought.

"Well you saw how we looked. I don't want all the other trampy girls at school to lay their hands on him. So you, Lucy, and I should be the ones to show him around the school." I glanced at Ashley. That wouldn't be too bad of an idea.

"Ashley, are you looking for him?" A flush crept along Ashley's cheeks.

"Tch, why would you think that?" she asked.

"Because you keep on peering out the window almost every other second." I pointed out as we arrived at the school. I hopped out of the car as soon as she stopped the engine.

"Well it's just like I told you. I want to make sure his first day here is comfortable, so he should be spending time with me - I mean us!."

"Uh, right. I said nodding. "Sure." As we made our way to the building, I noticed a large crowd was huddle by the school's office. I tapped the nearest girl on the shoulder. "Why is everyone clustered over here?" I asked. She pointed at the office.

"Have you seen the new kid. He's hot! Were all waiting for him to leave the office after he gets his schedule." Ashley and I glanced at each other, the pushed our way through the crowd. Peering through the glass, I spotted who it was. Obviously, It was Kevin. I glanced around. But okay that was strange. Why were guys trying to get a glimpse through the window. I saw Lucy and Christian standing inside the office next to Kevin. I tapped on the glass. Lucy's eyes snapped towards me. I gestured for her to open the office door. She nodded and made her way to the door. Her eyes widened at the mass of people. As she opened the door, Ashely and I had to squeeze in so that no one else could make in into the office. A loud groan echoed outside the office as the door closed and locked. I took two huge breaths. It had been suffocating out there.

"Everyone out there needs to disperse," Ashley stated her hands on her knees. She collapse onto the nearest chair. I followed suit and glanced over at Kevin. He looked even more amazing then last night. Some of his dark brown hair fell over his eyes. He wore a leather jacket, t-shirt, and jeans. He gave me a small crooked smile and a smiled back. Then I looked to the right side of him and frowned. There stood a girl around six feet tall. She had a small face with round blue eyes and red pouted lips. She wore a long white dress and had long blond wavy hair that fell over her shoulders. So that's why the guys were there too. This girl was beautiful. Wait a minute. I gasped. Her face looked exactly like the one I had seen in the window. Kevin saw me staring at her and smile.

"This is Lovette, my twin sister. Lovette, Fallon and Ashley."

"You can call me Fall," I told him. I held out my hand to Lovette. "Nice to meet you," I said with a small smile. She didn't smile back. My smile slowly faded as my hand dropped back to my side. My eyes dropped to the ground.

"Uh, sorry for my sister, she's, um, nervous since it's her first day." I nodded slowly. I glanced up and saw Lovette shake Ashley's hand. I frowned.

"So if y'all are twins, why do you not look the same?" I asked.

"You mean cause we kind of look different and have different color hair. Ah, don't know. I just know that we were born at the same time."

"Sadly," Lovette said finally speaking. I gasped. Her voice sounded like she was singing even as she spoke. "But we're total opposites." Kevin nodded.

"Maybe you students should go," the lady behind the counter in the office said. I had forgotten that we were in the office. "I hope you two will get settled and like it here at West Ridge High School. Classes will be starting soon." We nodded and I noticed that the group around the office had finally disappeared. As everyone was walking out of the office I noticed a piece of paper peeking out of my bag. Pulling it out, I unfolded and read what was inside.

Could it be that it's fate

That all I feel for you is hate

Get ready for this year

You'll shed more than just a tear
