Joey

I ate my pasta in silence and hoped that V wasn't getting into any trouble. Last thing I need is everyone finding our location.

I just told myself not to worry. I was going to enjoy myself and not let anything get in the way.

"Babe, is everything alright?" Ricardo asked, snapping me out of my trance.

   "Yeah, why do you ask?"

"I was talking and you didn't respond."

"Oh, I was just thinking about... How amazing this food is. Thumbs up to the chef," I replied with a smile.

I mixed up the pasta on my plate and smiled at a sudden memory I had. "Hey remember when we were all eating spaghetti together and V said he ate spaghetti but they were actually worms?" I laughed.

   "Yes, I remember," Ricardo nodded.

"Oh and remember when he thought pissy snow was parmasean cheese!"

   "Yes babe, I remember."

   "And when he--"

I was cut off with a kiss on the lips.

"Babe, we're here because we wanted to spend time with each other. Can we keep it that way?"

"Ok," I nodded. "So where are you planning on going next? You went to Sao Paul, Chile, Madrid and then Cuba, so where to next?"

"After experiencing Brazil, I decided to go to the next extreme and travel to the North Pole."

"What?!" I covered my mouth to keep from spitting out my food. "That's stupid!"

"I was just kidding," he smirked.

   "Not funny."

"Honestly, I was thinking South Africa."

   "South Africa's nice."

"I was planning on moving and living there permanently."

   "Why? What about--"

"And I want you to come with me, Joey."

"... Oh." Was all I could say.

"That's it? ... Oh?" He raised one of his perfect dark eyebrows.

"I mean... I'm shocked. This is all so sudden."

"Just breath and I'll give you time to think."

   "But, where would V stay?"

"You're bringing him up again?" He huffed.

"He lives with us. He lives with me. I can't just leave him here unless you want me to bring him along."

   "No."

"Then where do you plan on placing him?"

"You keep talking about him like he's a child, Joey." His accent became thicker with every word. "He's a grown ass man. I'm pretty sure he's older than you and me put together. He can make it by himself."

"He might as well be a child! He's an alien! He doesn't know anything about earth's customs, that's why he's been relying on me this whole time."

"Then why don't you just send him back to his planet?"

"Why don't you cut off one of your fingers and send it to your mother?"
