My feet stopped at the large ditch in the ground. It was still here. I thought after all of this time it would be gone. There was yellow plastic surrounding the scene. I ducked under it and walked up to the enormous rusted piece of machinery.

It seemed to still be intact. It was just like I remembered it, but it was halfway into the earth and weeds had grown over it. Had it been that long since I got here?

It doesn't feel that long ago.

I placed my hands on the rusted metal. It left a strange orange and brown substance on my hand. I looked down at my already dingy attire, I had been through a lot tonight. Right now I just wanted to be alone.

I placed my hands on the machine again. I made the rust fade away and the greenery wilted and crumbled. The ship looked good as new.

I remembered the day that Joey and I first met. I remember it so vividly, like it was a few hours ago.

I couldn't control the shuttle. I had never flew one before and I thought that it would be easy to manuever it but, apparently I was wrong. It was much harder than I thought.

I wanted to land it safely but I lost control of it and it crashed, landing right in front of a car that had veered away from the road.

The lights flickered as I tried to find a way out. The door was stuck, and I had to kick it open a few times before it  finally opened. I stepped out of the shuttle as she stepped out of her car.

We stared at each other for a few moments before I collapsed of exhaustion. Who knew that running away could be so tiring.

Then later on, I woke up in her abode.

This shuttle carried too many unwanted memories. Why would the government want to keep it. It's of no use to them.

Using my telekenesis, I lifted the shuttle out of the ground and once it was hovering a few feet, I disintegrated it. The remains of the ship fell back into the ditch in the ground.

I didn't want to see anything that reminded me of my planet or my brothers.
