"What happened back there?" Ziyi asked, running inside my room. "Did he attack?"

I removed my coat and shoes, "It wasn't him."

"Then who was it?"

I shrugged, "It wasn't him at all. I know because I fought him once."

"Look, this is getting out of hand, Xukun. Let's just tell Xinyi the truth. She should know that she needs to be careful."

"No. This is my fault why people are trying to get their hands on her. I want to be the one to stop this."

Ziyi sighed, "If something happens to her, Zhengting and the rest of us will really get you back."

I smiled and fiddled with my fingers. He really cares for Xinyi that much.

It's true that everything that's been happening recently is all my fault.

Why this arranged marriage with So Hyun happened. Why Xinyi's mother wants her to marry someone from a higher business.

After what happened at the horror house, Xukun has been treating me a bit differently. He's still cold but i don't know skjsjhjj maybe it was the kiss - WAIT

"Xinyiiii ~" I found Zeren standing next to me holding an ice cream cone. "Want one?"

"You already licked it, haven't you?"

He quickly shook his head, "Come on, it's your favorite."

I quickly took the strawberry ice cream and lick it. I stopped midway when Zeren whispered, "Wenjun's the one who licked it first, though."

I widen my eyes and threw it on his shirt, "Gross! What the hell, Ding Zeren!"

Zeren was laughing so hard I swear he would almost die from it. I'm going to get you next time, you rascal.

"Hi!" Doyeon suddenly appeared out of nowhere, winking at Zeren.

"Uhh, hello?" The boy said awkwardly. Poor guy.

Doyeon leaned in to my ear and whispered, "Is he single?"

I chuckled, "I don't know and I'm leaving. Bye Zeren, good luck!"

"Hey!" Zeren called out. "Don't you dare leave me Zhu Xinyi!"

I was walking through the school garden when I spotted Xukun and So Hyun. I think they were arguing? I don't know, I couldn't hear clearly.

Maybe Seungkwan was right. I do need those q tips.

"Pst!" I heard someone call out to me from the bushes. I turned around and found Quanzhe sitting on one of the small steps.

I furrowed my eyebrows. Quanzhe isn't the type of person to call out to me. Wonder what's up.

"What're you doing here?" I asked, sitting beside him.

Quanzhe scratched his head and pointed at the direction of the two love birds fighting, "Did you hear them?"

I shook my head, "Were you listening?"

"I was about to but then I stepped on something I thought you'd find interesting."

"If this is another food that you guys have licked a thousand times I'm going to strangle you to death."

"Chill. I'm not like Zeren who uses cheap tricks."

I sighed, "What is it then? I still need to help Yoojung tend to the new comers -"

I stopped midway when he handed me a black samsung phone. Everything was black from top to bottom, even the case. I've seen this phone before. I examined it and sure enough, it's the same one.

The only difference is that, the screen has been cracked and there's a bit of mud on the casing.

"You know who owns this, right?" Quanzhe asked me, a bit serious.

I slowly nodded, "Where did you find it?"

"Near the exit of the haunted house." He explained. "Don't ask why I went in there, some girls just dragged me along inside, I couldn't say no."

I bit my lip.

Did he lose his phone trying to find or wait for me?

"Did you show this to anyone?"

Quanzhe quickly shook his head, "I came to you first. Plus I thought it was yours."

I furrowed my eyebrows, "Why would you think it's mine?"

"Because his wallpaper is a picture of you."

The moment Quanzhe said that, the phone vibrated in my hands. The wallpaper was blurry because of the cracked screen - but I can perfectly see my face on the phone.

But what gave me the chills was the caller ID.
