Campfire. One of my favorite things to do plus the stars look great tonight so it was the perfect time to star gaze.

We gathered around the fire talking about stuff that were happening in school and the usual gossip. Winwin oppa sat beside me.

"So, what's up with you lately?" He asked, roasting the marshmallow he was holding.

I quickly shook my head, "Nothing. Why would you say that?"

"I have Chinese telepathy," He winked. "And it says that you are in a bit of situation. Am I right?"

I sighed, "A little bit."

Winwin oppa chuckled, "Zhu Xinyi. Tell me, do you like Xukun?"

I can feel my face heat up, I simultaneously hit him on the shoulder, "Why. Would. You. Ask. That."

"Hey, hey, chill," He said, holding my wrists. "Why are you so defensive?"

I pouted, crossing my arms over my chest, "I am not!"

"Hey! Wing wing!" Taeyong oppa suddenly stood infront of us. "What are you doing to her?"

Winwin oppa widens his eyes, "Nothing! I was just asking, hyung."

"Cut the guy some slack, Taeyong." Johnny oppa hit him on the chest. "He barely says anything and now you're restricting him."

Taeyong oppa hits him back, "Then let's hope and pray that next time he can speak more, right Winwin?"

Winwin oppa nods as he smiled at his hyung. Why does he act like a baby when he's with his older brothers?

When he's with me, he's so mature.

I looked at the scene in front of me. People were huddled in a circle. Some were crying and laughing.

Gathering around the campfire is truly a perfect place to let all your feelings out.

I saw Yoojung and Vernon talking but they were a bit more serious this time. Some students were gathered around Seungkwan and Quanzhe and they were taking pictures of the new born twins. Changbin was acting as the photographer.

I frowned as I saw Doyeon sitting alone. I was about to walked towards her place when Zeren sat beside her. I feel bad for Doyeon since she likes him but he has a girlfriend back in China.

I spotted Zhengting asleep on one of the logs. Ziyi was trying to wake him up, he was about to give up when some of their friends - Minki oppa and Woodam oppa carried him to the tent.

The only person missing from my peripheral vision is Cai Xukun. I excused myself from Winwin oppa and his friends as they were trying to learn this new dance move. I think they were calling it boss?

I walked further towards the river. I stopped as I saw Xukun sitting on the grass, "What are you doing here?"

He was playing around with some stick, "I wanted to be alone. Isn't it obvious?"

"Wow, and here I thought the cold Xukun was gone. Way to go into transition."

"Thanks. It's really a pleasure getting a compliment from you."

I plopped myself down on the spot beside him, "I still haven't thanked you - for everything that you've done for me."

"I haven't done anything,"

"Yeah, sure," I trailed off, looking at the stars. "You saved me, from Yanchen that night at school."

Xukun turned his head towards me, "Does that qualify as everything?"

I shrugged, "I don't know. I just feel like you've done lots of things. Not just that."

He sighed as he slowly flicked my forehead, "Don't assume things you don't know."

"Oow!" I screamed, holding my forehead. "What the heck was that for?! I was trying to be nice."

"Nice doesn't really suit you,"

"And apparently being a superhero doesn't suit you either."

From the corner of my eyes, I saw Xukun smiled, "You really are something, Zhu Xinyi."

He stands up, stretching his long legs. Wow, I just realized that he really is tall.

Xukun suddenly removed his jacket and threw it at me, "Don't catch a cold."

It landed on my face, making me inhale his scent. I removed the jacket from my eyes and saw him already walking away.

I released a small pout, "Why must you make me feel this way, Cai Xukun?"

THIRD PERSON POV

"His parents are hiding," Xiao Gui said over the phone.

Ziyi furrowed his eyebrows, "What do you mean hiding? They just met up with Mrs. Zhu, two weeks ago!"

"Yeah, but when they found out the police were looking for them, they quickly hid their butts!"

"What are you planning to do now?"

"To look for them apparently." Xiao Gui scoffed. "How's Xinyi?"

"She's doing okay," I peeked outside from our tent and saw her walking back to theirs. "Xukun stays by her side all the time,"

"We should have included him into this,"

"The less people that know, the better." Ziyi said, feeling Zhengting's feet on his hips. He furrowed his eyebrows at the sleeping boy, "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have something important to do."

"More important than this?"

Ziyi nodded, removing his socks and putting it on Zhengting's nose, "Yes, because after last night I don't want to get harassed by Zhu Zhengting's powerful kicks, again."
