special chapter (seven) ✪

"Will you marry me, baby girl?" Xukun asks with sincerity as he looked at Xinyi. He was still kneeling down.

"Kunkun," Xinyi said his name, unable to say anything else.

"Come on Xinyi," He looked up to the love of her life. "Is it gonna be a yes or a no?"

Xinyi blinked before regaining her senses, "Can you - Can you stand up for a second?"

Xukun pouted, shaking his head in response, "I'm not going to unless you say your answer."

"Shit, this is so sudden," The girl whispered.

Silence filled between them again. Xukun was still kneeling and Xinyi was still thinking.

Although, what's there to think about? This is Cai Xukun. Her first love, her first kiss. Is this decision really hard to make?

But they're still going to college soon. Xinyi kept thinking of endless possibilities that might happen. Maybe Xukun will meet a girl and leave her alone or something like that.

No one can resist Xukun's charms. Not even some of the boys.

I think Ziyi secretly likes him, too. Xinyi thought to herself.

"Baby ~" Xukun's voice made her flinched. "Do you want time to think about it? It's okay, really."

"It's just - I -" Xinyi stuttered, trying to think of something up. "What if this is just temporary? What if you meet someone and -"

Xukun cupped her cheeks making her stop talking. "Do you really think, after all this time, after all I did for you, there's a girl that could ever replace you in my heart?"

"I think so, maybe," Xinyi whispered, avoiding his gaze.

She could hear Xukun chuckle, "My efforts must be not enough then. I should try harder,"

That's a total lie. Xinyi knows it. Everybody knows it, even their parents. Xukun has made countless efforts to make her feel loved. It was always enough. It was never less.

Xinyi sighed, trying to clear her thoughts as she looked at the man she has loved for so long. She also noticed something odd in the atmosphere.

"Xukun," She called out, "Before I say anything, can I ask you for a favor?"

Xukun smiled, "Anything for you, baby girl."

Xinyi smiled back at him as she pointed at the kitchen, "Can you tell your gang to shut up so I can think straight?"

Before Xukun could answer, a song played on speaker.

My baby girl ~
You already know ~
If you call me baby, I will come so fast ~
If you need me baby, I will be your side ~

"Nice timing, Zhou Rui!" Ziyi exclaimed from the kitchen.

"Well, I'm sorry for accidentally pressing it, B-O-O-G-I-E, Wang Ziyi!" Zhou Rui replied, stopping the music.

They all walked out of the other room and lined up in front of the couple.

There was Haohao, Bu Fan, Xiao Gui, Shengen, Xikan, Ziyi, Zhou Rui, Qin Fen and the 7 yuehua boys looking so innocent.

Xinyi crossed her arms, "I didn't know we had an audience."

Xukun panicked and stood in front of Xinyi, making his back face the boys. "Xinyi, I didn't know, honestly, I didn't expect they would follow me here."

"For the record, I actually live here," Zhengting interrupted making Justin hit him.

"Shut up or you'll get kicked out of this house." The younger implied earning a laugh from Xinyi.

"Okay, okay, I get it. They're just stalkers," Xinyi comments, pointing at the boys.

"Hey!" Qin Fen pointed back at her. "We are not stalkers."

Xinyi raised an eyebrow, "Then what do you call eavesdropping on someone's conversation and hiding in their kitchen?"

"Stalking?" Quanzhe answered back.

Zeren flicked his forehead, "Do you want us to beat you up again?"

"Ssh, guys," Zhou Rui says stretching his arm out. "I think we had enough for today. It's time to go."

He motioned to the door using his head. Ziyi nods, as everyone followed him out. Including Zhengting.

"Uh, where are you going?" Xinyi asked, before Zhengting stepped out the house.

"Oh, I thought I'd give you some alone time," Zhengting winked.

"Jiejie good luck!" Justin said, sending a thumbs up as he was dragged away by Xinchun and Chengcheng.

Xukun bit his lip before turning to Xinyi again, "You still haven't said anything."

Xinyi held Xukun's hand tightly, "Isn't the answer obvious though?"

He looked confused, "What is it?"

"I can't believe you can be this slow, Kunkun," Xinyi chuckled, kissing his cheek. "My answer is yes. I will marry you, Cai Xukun."

Xukun widens his eyes as he wrapped his arms around Xinyi's waist, resting his chin on her shoulder. "Thank you Xinyi. Thank you for making me the happiest man alive."

Xinyi wrapped her arms around his torso, "And thank you, Kunkun. For staying by my side and never giving up on me."
