"May I sit here?" Yanchen asked, standing beside Xukun's seat.

Where is he gonna sit, on his lap? What the hell.

"Sorry, but the seats are already occupied." Xukun defends. "There's a lot of vacant chairs over there."

"I'm warning you, Cai Xukun. That's my fiance you're keeping away from me."

Xukun stood up and I did as well. I was nervous he might punch his face again.

Xukun scoffed, "Threaten me all you want, Zhou Yanchen. I'm never going to give you this seat. Don't you understand not to take someone's place?"

"Then your brain must be the size of a pea, because as far as I remember, you're the one who took someone else's spot."

I saw Xukun clenched his fists and before he could raise them, I held on to his arm, "Don't do this. Please, not here."

Xukun stopped midway and looked at me. I was clinging onto his arm, trying to pull him back.

"Guys!" Doyeon clapped from the back row. "Come on. Enjoy the trip! Let's not fight!"

Yanchen scowled at her which made Doyeon sit back down. He looked at Xukun once before walking away, sitting in the front row.

I sighed as I sat back down again. Xukun didn't mutter a thing anymore. He just put on his headphones and closed his eyes.

"Ahh! The fresh air!" Zeren exclaimed, stretching out his arms.

I know he knows that I'm avoiding him - but I couldn't find the courage to confront him about it.

"Where do we set up the tent?" Yoojung asked, following Vernon who was diligently pulling her suitcase.

"Hmm," Seungkwan looked at the map he got from the teacher. "Since they already laid out their places, we can only think of one place!"

"Please don't -" Vernon was cut off when Seungkwan started dancing and wiggling.

Xukun held his shoulder and pointed at a spot near a river, "Can we just stay over there?"

Seungkwan pouted, turning off the music. "If you want it to be that boring."

"No one likes a diva," Doyeon points out.

"I'm not a diva. I'm THE DIVA!" He exclaimed, jumping around excitedly.

"May I ask why you're suddenly avoiding me?" I flinched at the sound of Changbin's voice. He was standing behind me, carrying some logs for the fire.

I shook my head, "I'm not avoiding you."

"Tell that to Seungkwan and Yoojung who noticed,"

"I'm not really. It's just that - uhm," My eyes started wandering around.

"Okay," I heard Changbin's soft voice. "I'm sorry. If I ever did something wrong."

"No, Changbin - you didn't."

"It's okay. Just tell me when you're ready to talk," He walked away before I can even ask him anything.

"Did you just got dumped?" Another familiar voice crept up from behind.

Seriously, why do people like talking behind my back? You can just straight up walk in front of me.

"We're not even dating," I bluntly answered him.

Yanchen nods, "That's good. Because since you're my fiance," He started walking towards me. "You're all mine."

I can see his evil eyes again, and I swear I just want to run away. "Are you done claiming what's yours? Because if you are -"

"Not yet, Zhu Xinyi." He said with his husky voice as he held a grip on my wrist.

"He-hey, that hurts," I tried pulling away.

He pulled me back, making me hit his chest, "I just want you Xinyi. No one else."

His voice is giving me the creeps. I can't take it anymore and it feels like my knees are giving up.

"Don't even think that I forgot what you and Xukun did behind my back," He continued.

I bit my lip, "Xukun and I didn't do anything."

"Really now?" He scoffed, still holding my wrist. "Who was your first kiss again? It wasn't your boyfriend, right?"

"Why are you interested anyway? You're not my boyfriend anymore."

"But I will be your husband, so it's a winwin situation. You know you can't say no to this marriage."

I raised my eyebrows at him, "And why is that?"

Yanchen leaned into my air, making the skin on my hair stand up as he spoke, "Because if you say no, So Hyun will also cancel on Xukun, making your company and all your money go down the drain."

I gulped. What kind of life have I gotten myself into?

I feel like I'm in some kind of fanfic that has a twisted plot and a never ending cycle of villains being added to the story.

Yanchen smiled, "You don't want Xukun to lose all their money do you? It's partially your fault why it happened to them in the first place."

I gritted my teeth, "I didn't tell Xukun to punch you that day in China. He did that on his own."

"Yeah, well, people hear a lot of different things. And from what I heard, you and Xukun should be cousins."

Here we go again with the cousin thingy.

Yanchen took his phone out from his pocket and started scrolling down, "One word Xinyi and this goes out to the public. Ruining the lives and reputation of both your families."

I squinted at the screen and couldn't believe my eyes. I thought my sense of sight was just playing mind games - but it isn't. It's real.

It was a picture of me and Xukun kissing inside the haunted house.
