Separated by miles of land and water, they could only talk to each other behind their screens.
"Maybe I'll look at the stars," he typed, "until one in the morning."
"Then let's look at the sky at the same time," she suggested. She opened her window, but there weren't stars. "No stars here though. Maybe because it's cloudy. I'm sure we are seeing the same moon."
"Oh," he replied, "but I can't see the moon here."
She instantly frowned. "Are we even looking at the same sky?" she asked sadly.
"Technically, no because the angles are a bit off, but I'd love to believe so."
"This is sad. If there is a word such as undestiny, this would be it."
"Well," he replied, "the universe is a bitch sometimes."
