Still wearing pajamas and a messy hair, she was awaken by a kiss on her forehead.
"Wake up, beautiful."
She saw him smile, so she smiled as well and reached for a pillow. Sleepily, she hid her face behind a pillow. "I don't have makeup."
"I like it better when you don't," he replied, burying his face on the pillow as well, "but I'm okay with you having it as long as you're comfortable. How about I'll wait for you downstairs while you prepare?"
She nodded.
After he went out, she prepared herself for their date. She wondered why he kept on saying he liked her without makeup and how she liked it that he didn't criticize her makeup hobby either.
Her hair beautifully curled and her face glittered with makeup, she approached him. She thought he'd be surprised, but he was still wearing the same smile he wore earlier.
"Hi, beautiful," he greeted.
"Don't you like my look?" she asked.
"I sure do. I like it when you prep yourself, and I also like it when you don't. I just like you as a whole, with or without it."
She smiled. The smile he wore proved he was telling the truth. He added, "Besides, I can ravish your lips without lipstick. But now I should be gentle on placing my lips to yours, careful not to ruin your makeup. Really, I might consider lipsticks as my number one enemy."
She laughed and kissed him, painting his lips red. "Oh, love. I don't mind applying lipstick over and over. Just make sure you kiss me."
