They were walking alongside each other when her shoelace became undone. She paused and was about to retie it when he stopped her and bent his knees.
"Hey," she said, surprised, "you don't have to do that. I'm no Cinderella."
"I know," he replied while tying her shoelace. "But you know that I can do big things for you. This is to let you know I won't forget the small things either."
