His text was "I'll be with my friends tonight," so she replied "Okay! Enjoy, love!" She tried to be as productive as possible, but after three hours, he had not yet texted.
She waited until two in the morning. And when her swollen eyes could no longer wait, she texted, "Have you forgotten me?"
The next day, he still had no text. Maybe a hangover, she thought. When her phone rang, she excitedly picked her phone, just to read, a plain "Good morning."
"Am I still important to you?" she asked.
"Of course. What kind of question is that?" he replied.
As she smiled painfully with lips trembling, she believed that what she was afraid of was slowly happening. She knew then . . . that he was not as in love with her as before.
