People were watching him at the stage, asking questions about his plans for the community. She knew they would lose based on the recent survey, but she still had hopes.
Someone from the audience asked him, "Rank according to your priority—family, friends, love life."
"I'd put them all at one," he said. "They are basically the same. Family is, of course, your family given to you at birth. Friends are the family you obtained through experiences. Love life is your family in the future."
He might have lost the election, but he definitely won her heart.
