A/N; this is a third person pov between auston & his family
The Arizona boy, probably one of the more hungover times than not, rolled out of bed rubbing his face. It was one of his last nights before becoming a father to twins, one of his last nights before the girl of his dreams was lost to him forever. He looked at himself in the mirror, the still drunk and slightly high reflection staring back at him before he threw on whatever the first shirt on his floor was, and throwing it on so that he had something on besides his pajama pants.
Of course, he thought when he looked closer at the shirt, and saw that it was a shirt with 'Killer Cupcake' strewn across the chest. Of course the shirt he put on when he was trying to forget Scarlett was a Scarlett shirt. He went downstairs, grabbing the bowl of cereal and sitting at the counter, huffing when he saw the latest headline on the local news gossip site.
TMZSPORTS: Scarlett McCaffrey, WWE Wrestler, 15 was spotted out near her home in Los Angeles, California on a bike ride with her longterm boyfriend, OHL player Connor McDavid, 17.
The boy's mother came downstairs, her heart breaking when she saw her son. She loved the Denver girl like another daughter, but Auston was still her son and she never wanted to see him like this. However, in this instance he was in the wrong, and she completely knew it. She went beside him, smacking the upside of his head before stealing the cereal, and putting it back on the table.
"Oww, ma what the hell was that for?"
"You don't get to watch that mi hijo, you don't get to watch that and sulk about it."
"Yes I do, she's mine, she always has been, so yes I get to sulk about it as long as I want to."
"She was yours, now she's his you lost the chance for her to be yours when you knocked up that jai!"
"I didn't mean to! It was a mistake knocking her up!" and the boy rubbed his hand over his face.
"It's a mistake you'll live with forever, you're going to be a dad soon, you need to get over this infatuation. I love Scarlett like she's another daughter, but you need to let her move on and be happy, this isn't healthy." And for the first time in a long time, the boy turned to look at his mother, heartbreak evident in his eyes.
"Infatuation? Ma, Scarlett is so much more than infatuation, she always has been. Ever since I met her as a kid, I knew she was the love of my life. I love her more than anything, fuck, I would give up hockey for her," and he rubbed his eyes. "I wish she was the mother of the twins, that it was me and her about to have twins. Look, I know I screwed up, and I know she'll probably hate me forever, but that's never going to stop me from being totally and completely in love with her."
The mother smiled, before taking the boys laptop and pulling up the closest airplane website. She then pulled up a flight to Atlanta on Royal Rumble weekend, before handing the laptop back to her son.
"She's never going to want to see me ma, she absolutely hates me."
"I don't care. You say you love her, that she's the love of your life, then you go see her. You go fix this or you'll lose her forever," and with that she kissed the top of his head and walked back upstairs, leaving the boy downstairs to plan.
