I rubbed my eyes, pulling the covers over my body as I felt constant pokes to my cheek, eventually opening one eye to see the familiar face of my best friend smiling down at me, pushing his fluffy hair out of his face as he pressed a soft kiss to my temple. "Happy Birthday princess," and he opened his arms wide enough to let me crawl into his arms before wrapping them around and hugging me tight.
"Auston, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be packing or doing something? You leave for Switzerland in two days," and he shook his head, letting his fingers softly run through my hair. "I don't need to be anywhere but here, celebrating your birthday with you. Now, get changed I have so many surprises for today, but they can't start until you get ready," and he kissed my head as I giggled and pushed him out of my room so I could get ready for whatever he had planned for me.

I slid on the Denver Broncos and San Fransisco 49ers bracelets that my dad and older brother had gotten me before I opened the door, smiling as I saw Auston holding a bouquet of white roses, the cheeky grin I had come to know and love coming back at me. His mouth dropped, as he took a few seconds to look me up and down.
"Woah," and he extended the roses.
"Woah what? Is it too casual? I can change you know," and I ran my fingers through my hair, taking the roses and putting them in a vase beside the bed.
"What? No, oh my gosh no you look absolutely perfect. I'm glad you like the roses by the way."
"White ones," and I leant down to smell them before going over to him. "I'm surprised you remembered that these were my favourite."
"You thought I forgot? I never forget anything you tell me beautiful, now come on time for breakfast." He crouched down, letting me hop on his back before carrying me down to the kitchen, which had been taken over by plates of every food that I absolutely loved, and of course, in the middle of the table, were more white roses. I hopped down, and turned to look up at Auston, happiness radiating through my body.
"You did this? Didn't you?" he smiled as I took a bite out of a piece of bacon that was laying on the counter.
"Yes, Yes I did and your amazing breakfast is only part one of your amazing day that I have planned," and he turned me to look at the living room, where the floor was completely covered in presents, ranging from tiny bags to large boxes.
"I wanted it to be special for you," he said, a smile I had grown to love over the years evident on his face.
"But you didn't have to do any of this, all of it, it must have cost you a fortune, why would you do all this for me?" and I shivered as he came closer, pushing a strand of hair behind my ear as he softly took my chin in his hands, lifting me up so he could softly bring his lips to mine. They moved in perfect symphony after that, and I never wanted the moment to end.
