"See anything yet?" I questioned.
"Nope! Nothing but natural structures and sand! What about you?"
"Nothing at all." We have been looking for this home for a while now, but we have had no sign at all. Not even the Force has forced me in a direction to go.
"Luke, stop the speeder." He stopped it. "What if I've just been hallucinating this whole time? What if this is all fake? What if something is wrong with my head and I just don't know it? What if-"
"Kat, stop. You're the smartest person I know. Your mind is powerful. There's-"
"Yeah! What if my mind is too powerful and there's something wrong with it? What if I'm half human and half droid and I have a wire out of place?"
"Kat, stop talking. There's nothing wrong with you. You're perfect. This is all for a reason that you're going to figure out."
"Luke, ahem, that we're going to figure out."
"Ok whatever either way you're going to figure it out. The Force is real and it's with you. You're not crazy."
"Fine... but what if-"
"Stop with the what if's! Now let's continue." Luke started the speeder and we continued. He can be too nice to me sometimes. Maybe he does really know something is mentally wrong with me. Maybe he's taking me to a bottomless pit so he can drop me off in there and continue his life! Maybe he's secretly a Jedi waiting for the right moment to kill me because he's too scared I will be stronger than him! So many ideas... all of them are most likely false. He hasn't hidden anything from me, but that's only what I think.
"Luke, stop the speeder." He stopped it once again.
"What do you want now?"
"Have you ever hidden anything from me?"
"Katiara, you're literally at my side every second. You hear every breath I breathe. I'm an open book and you know it. Stop getting yourself worked up, nothing is wrong. I don't have a huge secret I'm about to reveal to you once we find the house. Calm down."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, I'm sure. Wait, what if I told you I'm a Jedi with no training at all."
"I wouldn't believe it because you don't have enough coordination to be that skilled with a lightsaber."
"There's your answer, Kat. Now, please just let me drive." He set off once again and I slouched over with my head on the side of the speeder. After a while I saw something in the distance, something that seemed to look like a home.
"Luke! Look! That's it!" He looked over to see what I was pointing at.
"Kat, that's just a boulder or something."
"It seems like you point out the negative in everything! How would you know if that's a boulder or not!"
"Well, I know because we've been going in circles for the last few hours. How have you not noticed?"
"Luke! You've been going in circles this whole time?!"
"Heck, I'm not the one to get us lost."
"Let me drive. I'll be the one to find the house first."
"Have fun driving in the dark, Kat. The suns are about to set."
"Oh my gosh I freaking hate you."
"Hate you too, sweetheart," Luke laughed.
"Consider us lost, then."
