As we walked closer, the visibility of the destruction was more brutal. Nothing seemed to be left.
"Kat, are you sure this is it?" Luke questioned. I could feel the Force pushing me further.
"Yes, I'm sure of it." Closer, closer! My eyes widened drastically; the Force offered something I needed. I looked to Luke to see his worried expression. "What's wrong?"
"I can tell the Force has gotten into you... are you okay?"
"I'm fine." My heart started racing as we were just feet from the entrance, of what was, a home. The roof was hardly existent. The entrance was cracked and chipped majorly, but the door was still standing.
"Uh, Kat... are you sure this is the right home?" Luke's voice was trembling.
"I'm sure of it," I whispered,"it holds something I need..."
"What's that?" Luke questioned once again. I slowly opened the door as dust and rubble fell from the entryway.
"A belonging... an offering... a family."

Thank you for reading! I hope everyone is okay with these chapters being shorter than usual, life is crazy and I don't have as much free time as I used to. I'm still gonna try to update every week though. Xoxo
