We went hours and hours of trying to figure out where we were. The light diminished from the sky and suddenly my eyes could not stay open. I had to shift my eyes constantly and smack myself copious amounts of times, but nothing was working. Every time I looked at Luke, at least the times I was awake enough to see him, he was doing the same. If he fell asleep while driving the speeder, we would both probably end up hurt or dead.
"Luke, it's time to book it for the night," he looked at me, dark circles making his eyes look lifeless.
"We can't just sleep in the speeder. It's dangerous out here, anything could kill us." He was right. This planet was unpredictable.
"What do you propose, then?" I asked.
"Has The Force told you anything lately?"
"No. I don't know when it will, possibly never."
"Don't get your hopes down, Kat. Is there something special you do when it does talk to you?"
"No. Not really."
"Well... alright. Anyway, we can sleep in shifts. You can go first." He stopped the speeder.
"How am I gonna sleep in this thing? There's no room."
"Put your head on my lap and lay your feet out."
"Alright." I positioned myself, but there was no room for my long legs. Oh well, I just needed some sleep. Luke played with my hair as I fell in to a deep sleep.
