"There, that's all done Hanji," you reassured her, placing the last of the scattered books in her scrapped up lab onto the shelf. Hanji smiled, skipped up to you and shook your hand in a weirdly crazed manner, the glasses on her nose gleaming devilishly. In this mood, she was still as scary as when she was fuming. "Well thanks a lot (Y/N)! I'm, er... gonna retire for a while. I'm pretty cracked up!"
"Uh, it was nothing," you managed a nervous smile and stepped back awkwardly. "You still not telling me what happened here Hanji? Corporal Levi wouldn't have been at all pleased with this, you know how clean he likes to be."

Speaking about your crush made you lighten up and you were internally sighing with longing. You had this massive crush on corporal Levi which was becoming quite difficult to handle with each day that passed. You only wished he would notice you, wished he could see the way you tried to be confident in every way, the way you always tried to be there each morning to wish him a good morning and tried on different hairstyles for him each day. Though you swore that there was something like admiration in his eyes when he did manage to get a proper glimpse of you, bearing in mind how busy of a guy he was. You only wished you could show him your sketches and drawings in your book you kept hidden under your pillow (probably one of your favourite places to hide personal stuff, like photos of your family, buttons, that sort of stuff. Though buttons were just for fun really). He would like those for sure, at least you thought he would be impressed but if he ever saw the one you were currently sketching of him... well, god knows what he would think about it, so it would be best to keep that one to yourself, you thought. You were currently doing a watercolour of him, which was still taking you a long time.

"Yeaaah... about that," Hanji started nervously. "What is it?" you said, feeling a little concerned. "Are you ok Hanji?"
Her eyes widened in shock as she looked at the bookshelf and her mouth parted in some wordless 'o'. You took a peek at it, puzzled that you didnt see anything there.
"Gaaah! Gotta run!" was all she said before she left the office hurriedly. You stared after her, feeling a little stupid, opening your mouth to say something to her but closed it as she ran out. That's funny, you thought. She looked pretty traumatised.

In the meantime you looked thoughtfully around the lab and casually flicked back your (f/c) hair and while you were still there, decided to tie it into a braid to keep it out of your eyes. Maybe Levi might even notice it later, you were good and quick at tying braids. You suspiciously kept eyeing the bookshelf as you did so though, wondering what had frightened Hanji. You froze a little and inhaled as a movement between the books caught your eye. What can that be, you thought edging closer to the bookshelf. You heard a sort of deep rumbling coming from the thing moving in the shadows of the bookshelf, which disturbed you as it sounded very much like growling. A monster in the bookshelf? Well it seemed stupid but it was possible. You hastily grabbed the nearest thing, which was a broom and tensed, preparing yourself.

As you took the slightest step forward a pair of huge sea blue eyes startled you into action. You squealed and whacked the broom into the bookshelf, sending a few books flying down. You instantly felt something tugging on the broom. "What the-" you began as you tugged the broom out and gasped, nearly dropping the broom.

Hanging on the other end of the broom was a small raven like dog with sleek black fur. He had the most beautiful blue eyes which eyed you in an annoyed looking way. His little tail was swishing from side to side as if to try and make himself look intimidating. He looked strangely familiar, though you couldn't quite figure it out. Your lips parted into a smile. "Aww, it was only a little puppy," you laughed, taking the little critter in your hands. He growled, barking and writhing around but that wasn't going to trick you. You knew well how to handle dogs and sat down, scratching him back and forth firmly, behind his velvety little ears and then near the chin. He stopped growling but still didn't look very happy. His ears were flattened agaignst his head to show he was pouting.

"Come on, I know you like it," you said, scratching him some more. Eventually he calmed down, relaxing into your touch, though he still looked moody in the cutest of ways. "What's gotten into you," you said. "Hey, did you wreck Hanji's bookshelf? Are you the angered bookshelf monster here? Well?" The pup just let out a little woof and looked up into your face with those bright, beautiful eyes. "You naughty thing. But your also super cute. Where do you come from though? I wonder."

The small black dog hopped down from your lap and started padding away. "Where you going little guy?" you said, following him. He eventually, strangely enough, lead you up to Levi's room door. You stumbled back, a little startled and suprised, looking around to see if he was anywhere near or watching you. If he found you right outside his room and with a dog, you'd have to come up with some probably pretty stupid sounding explanation. "Umm, we can't go in there. That's Levi's room." Not that he would understand, or know who Levi was. "Its kind of agaignst the rules here to just walk into the Corporals room y'know."
I sighed. "Even I wish I could pay him a visit and talk to him in his room every now and then but there's nothing between us. Probably never will be." The pup was looking at you, tilting his head at you, looking like he might as well be measuring what you said and trying to understand it. Well, maybe he did after all. He bounded up to you, brushed his head against your leg quickly and pushed the room door open effortlessly, slinking into the room. "Wha- Puppy?" you started. Now what, you thought hard. The pup had vanished into his room, just like that. Maybe it belonged to him? You never heard of Levi ever having a dog though. Where else would it have come from? You walked away hurriedly from his room, telling yourself the dog was just his and if not, he was sure to take care of it. As you walked away, you still couldn't help thinking about the little dogs familiar blue eyes and angry little face. They were all cute feautures but... to you there was something more familiar there tugging at your senses. He also looked extremely wolflike, which puzzled you. You dismissed the thought and decided to head off to the stables to take a break.
