Your POV:

Some people as you knew were infuriated by his seemingly very absurd decision but that was it. There was no objection against it, they would either have to learn to accept them in or loathe them and spit at their feet. You had gotten to trust Rowan but didn't like Misha much at that time. She had glared a fang exposing glare at onlookers as she was lead into court and snarled as they so much as interrogated her. Her hair, just past shoulder length was thick and wavy and red with some ginger strands that almost glowed like fire. Her right eye was olive green but her left eye was a milky white, an ugly scar running from her forehead across her eye down to her lip. The haunting white eye almost looked like it had leeched the colour out of the moon itself. The thought made you shudder. Rowan remained silent most of the time as you had anticipated, though under control, his mate so most of the talking, though you could see he was frustrated as a muscle kept feathering at his jaw and a little scared, you could see. Some werewolves could fear humans even, that was understandable. They were also dangerous and unpredictable. You could already tell that Misha had more of a snappy mouth but also a fiery will and temper along with that. Levi had looked nervous too, merely stopping himself to chew on a fingernail between closely answering their questions. They came to a decision after all that and you knew how they must have felt.

They were to be supervised by Levi and you during the day and bound up sleeping at night in their wolf forms outside as if they were just another one of Hanji's experimental titans. Any act I violence, as was agreed, would be punishable by death. Misha had stifled growls and Levi looked releived it was nothing too major. As for Rowan he just nodded silently. They were not fully trusted yet. You placed a hand on Rowans elbow as you walked out, trying to force a smile. "It'll work out," you said. "I'm sure." He smiled back sadly and didn't reply.

They bound them up that night. You and Levi watched in silence as they did it. Rowan growled slightly if people handled him too much. "Get your human hands off me!" Misha screeched as they pinned her down, trying to bind her up for the night. "I can do it myself, leave me alone you bastards!" Levi watched nervously and swallowed an intake of breath. It was hard to watch his friends go through conflict with human ways. You felt for his hand, finding it and wrapping it round his, the only source of comfort you could offer in that moment. He squeezed back lightly. She didn't attempt to scratch anyone, just reared and bucked when they touched her and finally gave up, hanging her head as she was bound like a titan. Her wolf form glowered at everyone, no doubt wanting to murder them all. "How could you do this Levi," you seethed. "I said I was fine all those years, yet you still drag me here to your festering human shithole where you're attempting to turn me into one of them!"
"Its for your own good, you don't belong with the pack and it's time Rowan and I kept you under our wing in a place we can all be together," Levi growled. "Life was harder for you. Just let your beliefs about humans go and admit it."
"I don't need your pity," she screeched, thrashing her head back. "This isn't my home, this is a prison and I never asked to be trapped here and honed to kill what you need me to kill. I'll get us out of here, Rowan and I will run away again and again until it takes you to realise we don't belong here. We don't belong anywhere!" She shifted into a human, looking puny on her knees now and sobbed. "How could you do this to us? Why would you leave your closest friends for these human bastards and a life of slaying titans. And now you go even further by keeping us here and forcing us to be like you and live like you!?"
"It was a better choice than leaving you to suffer in the wild under the rule of your twisted alpha who broke an innocent life," Levi snapped, gesturing to Rowan. "I will protect you both for as long as it takes you, Misha, to realise that I'm doing this because I care." Misha looked at him with hatred in her eyes. "Protect us? You have sentenced us to our deaths. We'll be slaughtered by titans. Both of us. Will you be proud of yourself then?"

He froze and you heard the pain lace his voice. "We will begin your training in a days time," he said quietly. "Goodnight Misha." He turned away from her and started to walk away, ordering everyone to leave the grounds, saying there was no need for patrol over the two wolves. You followed after him hurriedly. "Sit with me on the roof for a while," he whispered in your ear, the pain and sadness raw in his face that it made your gut twist with pity. "It would be my pleasure."

He helped you up on the roof with firm strong hands and you were sitting, gazing up at the stars in no time. There was an eerie silence between you for some time. Both of you probably deep in thought. "I'm sorry," you said after a while. "About everything. Your friends, your pack. Being a werewolf feels hard am I right?" He smiled sadly. "Couldn't be more right." He paused for a moment. "Misha is so hotheaded and independent. Won't let anything get in the way of her and Rowan, or her service to the pack. She hated it, especially when Rowans father became leader but knew that betraying them would mean death. Now I think I've done the wrong thing bringing them here. No, I know I did the wrong thing, how the hell could I think I was protecting them by bringing them here? The titans...they'll slaughter them." He clutched his face in his hands. You stroked his back, tracing light circles at that spot. "Don't think like that Levi. They have you, a strong trainer and protector. And ofcourse they'll be able to fight, they're werewolves just like you!" He looked up at you, eyes looking glazed as if he had aged overnight. "Well...perhaps the real reason I dragged them here, well Misha really, was that I just want to be with them. That was all I wanted. For us to accept eachother, for them to be half human half wolf. Both. Two souls in one body." You really felt for him. There wasn't much you could do though.

"Did I ever tell you that you reminded me of somebody I used to know," he whispered, his lips grazing your ear. You shuddered at the touch and laid a hand on the back of his head. "What do you mean?"
"She was beautiful and just...alive really. She had so much life in her. She lived with a blonde boy named Farlan. They both never seemed to stop smiling," he whispered, his voice like a caress against your skin. "I met them in an underground dwelling when I ran away from the pack. We all dreamed of running off to join the survey corps. When that opportunity came to us I regretted it. They had always told me they were strong enough, pleaded me to trust them. They were killed in action on that first dreaded day outside the wall. All because I let them." You shuddered as the words left him. "Isabel Magnolia, the girls name was. Fiery red hair, and the most amazing green eyes. She had a fascination with animals like you, thougt they were easier to talk to than people," he chuckled. A great sadness had overtaken you then. He had lost two other very close friends long ago and never told me until now. You began to understand that he was confused, torn between the decision of staying with his only companions left in the only way possible, by keeping them at the survey corps as he could not return to the pack with them or letting them go because he knew that the same thing would happen to them as it did with Farlan and Isabel. He just wanted his friends back, people he could be close to once more like so long ago.

He pulled away from you and closed his eyes tilting his head up to the moonlight, which illuminated his beautiful face. "Do you know why you are breaking my heart (Y/N)." You stared in shock at him, pale in the light of the moon. "Its because you look like her."

Your heart froze in your chest. Too overcome with sadness and guilt for him, you just watched as a silvery tear rolled down his cheek, followed by more. He opened his eyes and met your stare and you couldn't imagine how hard it was, how painful to look into the eyes of those who looked like your dead comrade. You reached your hand up to his face, not bothering to wipe away your own tears as they fell lightly down your face. You caressed his moonlight bathed face and wiped the falling tear from the side of it. (Y/N)," he said, his voice breaking. "Hey, sshh don't cry. Why are you crying?" He took your face in his hands and you held them there, your tears sliding through his fingers. You pulled him into an embrace where you both cried silently. You sat in his arms, breathing in his scent and wrapping your arms around him, embracing the warmth of him, the feel of him against your skin while you felt his hands soft in your hair. "Why would i not cry for a man who's lost so much and just doesent deserve it," you said, burying your face into his neck, savouring the warmth there. "I am so so sorry Levi. Sorry about looking like somebody you lost," you sobbed hopelessly. To your surprise he laughed. He smiled at you, his face still wet with tears and caressed it lightly. "We all get back up again eventually after falling down and making mistakes. Maybe you break my heart sometimes just by looking like her but it doesent mean I love you any less."
"I love you too," you said, pressing your forehead against his. "I will protect them with you. Until the very end. Let them try to slay me, I won't and up dead and forgotten. Neither will they, and neither will you. We will make this out alive, do you hear me? That's a promise," you vowed, kissing his fingertips. He looked deeply into your face. And there was pride in his eyes as he said "We certainly will."
