He lumbered towards you. You were just one step away. One step away from reaching the blades and grabbing them off the wall. If you hesitated now he'd have you in his jaws. Little did you know what was happening above you, what Levi was doing now. Whether he was panicking for your safety or not didn't matter now. Wolves, titans. The world was going crazy. But hey, didn't it always? If anyone could handle titans, you could handle a wolf.
Levi POV:
I gawked at her as she ran for the blades, the wolf onto her in pursuit. Half of me was freaked out, shaken at her decision and the way she was scaring me like that. The other half was proud of my girl. Her fighting skills, her urge to go on, her spirit, kindness and the fact she accepted me and saw me for more than what I was: a monster. She saw more than just a wolf inside me. Her smile, that look she sometimes gave me, even when my day was going crap. It bought back vivid memories. There was always someone I could rely on to greet me in the morning and have a new sketch in that book every day. She had such curiosity about the world, it shattered my heart. It pained me to look at her. That contageous smile that would stretch from ear to ear. Those eyes lit with hope. Sometimes I couldn't look her in the eye anymore. I was afraid i'd find tears streaming from my face. I had never gotten to tell her about it... she and her spirit were a spitting image of Isabel Magnolia.
That was when she grabbed them. Her body curved through the air, out of reach of the wolf's cruel fangs as she grabbed them and pushed off the wall with a yell, spinning out of reach before he could swipe at her. She glared at him from under the (f/c) hair hanging over her eyes in a ghostly way. It was as if he knew he was defeated. He stood there, tension in his every muscle. As did hers. One small step forward, barely a sound on the floor. A hard plunge of the blades followed by the sound of tearing flesh and cracking bones and a sharp last inhale of breath. She stepped back and released the handles of the two blades in silence, leaving them both embedded in the male wolf's throat. He stood stunned for a moment until his legs gave away and he thudded to the floor, his body giving a spasm before falling still. His head lolled over to one side, nearly being completely severed off the shoulders. His mouth was open in a silent scream and his teeth still looked threatening as ever even in death. But I couldnt let myself forget that there was once a human inside him, as with every one of our kind, no matter what we chose to be, human or wolf.
Her shoulders slumped and I watched her regain her breath for a moment. The first time she killed a wolf man. It wasnt as easy as it looked, even if it seemed nothing compared to titans. Aware that I was still barely clinging to a chandelier, I called down to her. "Gonna need to get down here somehow," I said shakily. "I can't just jump either." She looked up at me helplessly, though I could see the relief shining through those anxious eyes. "But hey, you did it! He was tough and nasty that one. My God, you must be pretty wounded." Her legs quivered violently like she couldn't stay on balance. "Wait, I'm coming!" The words I spoke weren't entirely true, since I didn't know exactly how to get down without breaking the chandelier. Like hell I was going to pay for all the damage in Erwins office and a fallen chandelier. I had to be careful now.
Just as I was figuring out a way down, (Y/N) whipped round on heel, just about keeping a decent stance despite her wounds and let our an irritated hiss through her teeth as the door swung open. It was clear she didn't want to go through getting more blood her hands through slaying more of them. From what I saw it was not a wolf who stepped in but a guy. He swept into the room darkly, panting and sneering through his teeth. It was another one of them but in human form. I could just tell and it wasn't a good thing as he angled his body towards (Y/N) as he noticed the dead wolf behind her, assuming she killed him and readied himself to pounce. Anger turned my insides to shreds. No one was to touch her. "LEAVE HER ALONE YOU BASTARD!" I screeched, body shaking fervently from it. He caught my eyes for a split second but not before I launched myself into action, leaping from the chandelier and aiming to bear down on him heavily, all claws and muscle. The crack was heard then I felt it break just as my weight left it. I realised what I was doing just as I was about to miss him and hit the floor. Not before a pair of bulky, veined arms caught me and a veil of wispy, silvery white hair hanging over my face like a curtain. I couldn't see anything but cringed as I heard the smash and splinteting of glass. "There she goes," I sighed. And there goes my money with it.
